  1. Since this isn't really a remix, I figured this would fit here: http://soundcloud.com/amalthes/amalthes-mephisto Source materials/vocals etc. were sampled from the video game Alundra 2. Personally, I think the game gets a pretty bad reputation just because it has nothing to do with the first game aside from its name and composer. Anyhoo, do enjoy my track, and let me know what you think if you could!
  2. Mmkay, well about the only other thing I'd recommend is using an LFO Filter vst, if you feel the need to. I actually used one in one of my tracks, if you'd like an example. Well, that's kinda just it, I've always been more the kind of guy that is intrigued by depressing and/or tense tracks. Although, I can enjoy happier stuff, just not as much.
  3. Well, first off, what were you doing to get your wobble? Anyhoo, the track itself, doesn't really stand out for me...but then again, neither does the original. That's just my own personal bias, since I'm not really a big fan of overly cheery themes, anyway. Also, you could always just refix it as Drum n' Bass, if you cannot manage Dubstep.
  4. http://soundcloud.com/nonex/l-cancel-thunder-shark In case anyone would prefer using Soundcloud.
  5. Source materials: "Give Me Your Heart" from Fire Shark "Legendary Wings" from Thunder Force V: Perfect System I had a lot of fun working on this, mainly due to both themes being great on their own...but I digress. About the only things I may want to change are the break from the intro into the main melody (since it's somewhat abrupt and just goes into a distorted guitar), and the fact that I drag out the build up to the main melody into a trancegate by 1/2 of a bar. In any case, I hope you enjoy this/let me know what you think of it.
  6. Source material used: My result: http://soundcloud.com/nonex/l-cancel-lady-ninja-yae I had made this for my friend's birthday a few weeks ago, and decided I might as well post it here to see what some others think of it. The arrangement could probably use some change-ups, since it's rather simple, and semi-repetitive. Not to mention, how I ended up anticlimaxing back into the intro. But I honestly couldn't think of what else to do at that point since the original song itself wasn't all that long to begin with. Also, for some reason, the shamisen I ended up using crackles slightly while playing back the track, I honestly am not sure why, but it may have something to do with the soundfont vst I was using for it. Either way, I'll end up going back and fixing that at some point. Aside from that, that's all, thanks for any and all who take the time to check this out.
  7. I was actually going to remix "Execute The Corrupt Minister", but I lost any ideas I had for it after I started. I suppose now would be a good time to get back on it, though.
  8. http://soundcloud.com/nonex/lucid-dreams-on-pine-avenue Some changes this time around, I just never got around to putting it up due to getting a new computer. Anyhoo, I think everything is fairly well balanced out in the mixdown, but I'm sure there's still room for some improvement, somewhere. Either way, happy early Halloween to everyone!
  9. Source materials are the Elm Street theme itself and the House 3 theme from the NES game "A Nightmare On Elm Street". Again, I had to modify the themes themselves slightly to fit my style, and for me to give them my own touch as well. Do let me know what you think of it should you listen to it. Thank you.
  10. About the only thing that really stands out is that I'm most likely clipping, but that would have to do with my rendering it at around +4 or +5dB, in order to supplement the whole "Loudness War" thing that's so prevalent nowadays. Oh, my use of downlifters may be drowning out the mixdown somewhat as well. But most of which that normally would, I ended up cutting off their low frequencies. But yeah, I do notice some volume issues myself, be it the percussion, or the overall Master volume, but I'm generally happy with the end result for now until I go back again and try to fix it a bit more. Also, it's a little hard trying to manage as much crap as there is going on at times in the song, ugh.
  11. http://soundcloud.com/nonex/l-cancel-the-long-night-cut My source material was The Long Night, and The Last Sleep, both of which are from the game Hotel Dusk: Room 215 on the Nintendo DS. I initially wanted to remix pretty much anything off of the game, mainly because there wasn't a large number of remixes for the game at all. Wherever I looked, there wasn't hardly anything, save some rearrangements. In the end, I opted for what I felt were my two personal favorites from the game, and ended up with this. However, in order for the song to fit properly the style of music I make, I had to edit both themes in order to sound like the belonged, and to add my own touch to them as well. To those of you who take the time to listen to this, let me know what you think. Thank you.
