I'm kinda part of the project, although I'm not a mixer. Furthermore, my opinion regarding music doesn't really count, because I know nothing of it, but I'll give it anyway : The bass doesn't please me either. Especially at 00:29 (when the bass comes into play first), the introduction of the bass is too sudden. I also think the bass should never dominate over the lead melody, which it kinda does at this point, after 00:30 that is. Also, the "roaring" sounds, like a really low electric guitar (I think that's what Stark meant with Big Crunchy Synth ?) seems really out of place. In the original piece, something like a pizzicato is used as part of the bass, maybe you can try such a thing ? Hope it's a little helpful. I cannot say wether this track is potentially project worthy or not, though.

My parents want more wips of the mixers. It's doesn't matter you got only a little further. It's just so we can listen to it, and then tell you if you own - or suckkckck. I look forward to it.

Monobrow : Making that sig smaller (as in : resizing the current version) would be pointless, because it wouldn't be readable. The only thing you can see then is the Link and the Zelda logo. If you look REALLY closely, maybe you could read "Link's Awakening Project". You are free to resize your own one, to make it fit next to the Milkyway Wishes one, but making a smaller one would demand too much time I don't have right now. I based the size of the sig mainly on the Chrono Symphonic sig size. I didn't think most people would be participating in different projects, it seems I was wrong. Furthermore, taking Latin names as Starky proposed is a good idea if you ask me. The Latin language fits somewhat in the genre restrictions he set. But then we have two possibilities : 1. Take your official song name (e.g. Face Shrine, Mr Write House), and translate it to Latin, or 2. Think of a title for your song (Lid of the Sleepers Eye, Mysterious Shizzle (lol)), and translate that to Latin. Or we could just let everyone do as they please, obviously. I'm not the one to decide about that, however. Bottom Line : Try to idle in our IRC Channel as much as you can people ! This is mainly directed to mixers, but everyone is welcome.

Update. We (Starky) made some extra sigs, please use them accordingly. This is the signature for everyone who wants to use it. As it says, it means you are no mixer and are not affiliated to the project, except you like it. In one word, you are a fan. This is a remixer sig for the women who are with us. Like Rexy and Monobrow. This is for the guy-mixers our there. Simple, right. As said before, try putting them in your signature, while linking to this thread. Although there hasn't been any response on the Forums, I got some response in the IRC channel. According to that, I made some changes to it : I like the first better, what do you guys think ? by the way, should it be "Link's Awakening Project" or "Link's Awakening Remix Project" ? Either way, I left some space open for special, person-specific sigs, like "Project Coordinator", "Site Designer", "Project Participant" or the like, you name it. Gimme some ideas ! (The changes made are : Made Link more highres, changed the color and locating of the title, made the shield and sword around the Z visible)

Good point Starky, I told my girlfriend about it, and she said she would try to change it. While she was on it, she'd make some other examples too. The design would stay the same, she just tinkered with some settings, changing accents and such. She made 14 examples in total, which examples appeals the most to you, and why ? What do we all think ? Fusion2004 wanted to take a shot at it. Yeah, some more artwork like sigs would be cool. I'll ask my girlfriend to design some, I'll keep you guys updated.

Stark : I have had contact with Hadyn, and I asked him if he was interested in joining the project again. He said he'd look into it, and take a shot at Tal Tal Heights. He's making a wip of the song, to see wether you like where it's going. If you do like it, I suppose you can let him on the project, and let him continue on it. If you don't like it, you could either let him on the project, but for a different song, or just leave him out the project. Anything else in particular you want me to say to him ?

What about Japanese names for all ? That would be nifty. ZERUDA NO DENSETSU !!11

Marin's Dream : PRO : none CON : It's too specific, Marin's just a character from the game, although a main one. Furthermore, it's not even Marin's dream. Bubble on a Needle : PRO : Well, it's something unique CON : It doesn't fit the project mood, needle is not a melancholic word.

Welcome to the project ! Anyway, I have to inform you that 1/96 is not available anymore. Someone pointed out that it's just the Zelda theme that has been remixed all over and over. Therefore Track 1 of the project will now be 5/96, which is the overworld theme. Knowing this, which track would you like to do ?
