He's definitely just asking if anyone else does what he does. I don't see anything wrong with that, though. It's a good platform for a conversation about how we all jot down ideas.

That article really rubbed me the wrong way. It came across as snobbish. It's also based on a shaky premise. There are so many things you could say are cliche in pop, but at the end of the day it isn't really relevant to what you want to do. If it feels right, do it. Fuck what other people think.

What Kanthos said. Just fix up some decent samples/settings, then revise later. They don't have to be bad, just easily accesible.
