Data reading noise?? please help!!
Benjaipod replied to Benjaipod's topic in Music Composition & Production
up! please someone? -
I having a lot of troubles because of this... i get a random high pitched, kind of a hiss noise. I have to be really lucky to not get it in the mix export... I asked a professor of my university and we talked a lot about this... we think it might be data reading noise. I use USB powered gear: Presonus Audiobox USB, M-Audio Axiom 25 and sometimes a korg nanopad2. I really don't know how to fix this, it's really annoying and it mess up my work... I uploaded the final part of a remix of the chrono trigger intro theme i'm working on (work in progress)... This little fragment is the most fucked up of all the mix. I hope you can help me, i really don't know what to do anymore xD. In this link you can listen... http://www.mediafire.com/listen/g3ox9moyuhg3olx/Chrono_noise.wav Please help! xD

in your opinion: Which DAW?
Benjaipod replied to Benjaipod's topic in Music Composition & Production
Ok... there's nothing wrong with cubase xD, i love it. I never said i'd change my DAW. I know how to use it well xD. My question only was, which one do you think is more friendly, easy to use, fast and reliable for starters who wants to work with MIDI. Cubase is a little advanced for those who have just started, so my question was pointing that way. -
Well english is not my native lenguage so i'll try to make this question right xD... I know there's a lot of DAW, and each one has different features than the others.. Personally i've always been using Cubase, i think it's really powerful, stable and reliable when mixing, for mastering work, etc... As a sound engineering student, they make me work mainly with protools, but my goals are heading for musicalization and MIDI. I know there's a lot of people here who use FL Studio to create their remixes for OCremix, others uses Ableton. I don't have much experience using other DAWs, i've only used Cubase and Protools but for recording, mixing and mastering works. So my question(s) is this: Which DAW do you think is "more friendly" for those who are starting to work with MIDI? Do you think they are all the same? (i mean if you know how to use one, you can use anyone?). I know that is a personal choice in the End, but i'd like to know your opinion, and some recomendations for those who are in the beginning of the videogames remixes. i hope i made myself clear... it took a lot to write this xD.

wip Mega Man 3 - Intro \ Title Screen
Benjaipod replied to sknocturnal's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
i like the idea, not so much the drums xD... try maybe with more overheads, i can barely hear the hihat, and definitly there's no crashs. i would give more work to the drums -
Your string gauge and favourite picks
Benjaipod replied to Frederic Petitpas's topic in Music Composition & Production
i've been playing acoustic and electric guitar for a long time now (10 - 11 years). I always use the same picks and string gauge. Dunlop Gator Grip Guitar Picks 0.96mm D'addario 0,10 strings -

i was hoping to get some comments on this one xD -
This is a v2.0... i worked in the dynamics and tried to humanize it the most i could. And it has also a possible ending, let me know what you think! https://soundcloud.com/benjaipod/wip-little-nemo-the-dream I think i'll skip the maximizer in the next version i upload, it reduces the dynamic changes a lot...

Hi everyone, like the title says its my first Remix... I had some experience making video games covers earlier, but just now i started to create some real remixes... This is a work in progress, i'd like you to give me your opinion, and don't be scared to say whatever its in your mind. Maybe is a little "coverish" but i need to work in my technique and creativity, this is just a start This is an ochestrated version of Mushroom Forest, the stage 1 of Little Nemo: The Dream Master from NES, using EWQL Gold, Cubase 5, a midi controller M-Audio Axiom 25 and a Korg Nanopad2. I need to work in the ending, and some other details. I don't know why at 2:44 theres a high pitch noise, i have to fix that too, its a midi failure i guess. I really hope you like it, and i'll wait for your opinion!... ps: Sorry, English is not my native lenguage xD Original: REMIX: https://soundcloud.com/benjaipod/wip-little-nemo-the-dream-1

Can you help me with some "must have" VST?
Benjaipod replied to Benjaipod's topic in Music Composition & Production
thank you both ... i'll try them -
Hi everyone, im new arround here. I study sound engineering and I have been making my own video games covers for a long time, but now i want to begin making some remixes to send to OCremix, because they don't accept covers xD... I work in cubase 5, and have some very good vst: Spectrasonics Trilian, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, East West symphonic orchestra gold, EzDrummer and some more. Now i'm trying to learn how to use FL Studio to create some trance, techno, and others styles remixes. What "must have" VST do you recommend? I'm looking for quality sounds over quantity, so please help me .. Thx! ps: English is not my native lenguage xD, i hope i made myself clear.
