Don't know if it does classify as VGM Remix as it's a remix of a videogame remix, but I figured out I could share this one too: a little remix I did sometime ago of halc's tune "Da Mines" from his Donkey Kong remix album Club Kong
Moar disco stuff as you can hear

Sure, I wasn't necessarily suggesting you grab the unit from the store--of course Amazon is more reasonably-priced! I'm just saying you may find it useful to touch any given piece of hardware before you buy it.
It would be great for me to try actually the hardware before to buy it, trust me. It's the way should be meant to buy something but the thing unfortunately is that in my hometown there are absolutely NO music equipment stores :/ the nearest one is 40 miles away... and I don't feel like driving
Thanks for the advice again anyway
-
250$ for me is a manageable price. Plus I'm aiming to get one off Amazon as it seems the prices are more friendly. Thanks for the advice anyway

Planning to train myself to DJing in prevision of maybe future live events and cons (naturally if my economical situation allows it), so I'm planning also to get a DJ controller for that.
Is this a good one for starters maybe?

So many kind words wow
Thanks a lot to everyone, seriously I would have never imagined that even people here liked the album too :3
-
I really dig this album, very groovy! One of my favourite GameChops releases for sure. Keep up the awesome work man!
Will for sure man! Glad you appreciated
-
Looking forward to your first submission! Will it be Sonic, by chance?
Thanks for the comments man, by the way, no it's not gonna be Sonic again: I decided to work on a MegaMan & Bass remix and I'm really putting myself into it.
Along with that, I also managed to set up a pretty nice OutRun remix album I'm gonna release on June, always with GameChops

Oh, and I heard what you did there with Needlemau5The Veldt is one of my favorites!
I made half of that, bLiNd gave me a hand with his magic :3

UPDATE: Here's a more advanced demo for the tune. It doesn't cover much at the moment, just an introduction and a the main theme. Just to give you an idea where I'm taking the tune. Hope you'll like it

Whooooaaaa. I think we're jumping to this way too quickly. It seems Sanic is all that pops up on ocremix. I mean, that's clearly not the case, but honestly I feel I hear more about Sonic remixes than anything else.
I'm all for this, but honestly we don't need to constantly just be jumping right into Sonic projects. I think this could be cool, but yeah, like Rexy said, let's take this really slow right now.
Really, instead of recruiting, I think what you should be doing is generating interest. See how many people are interested in doing this. Also be aware of what you're getting into. Directing an album (and from what I'm thinking, this one could be considerably large) is a huge task to take on.
Well is not a bad point, actually. Also given the circumstance that the 25th anniversary would be in 2 years or so will surely give some time to generate interest first and then also give the chance to grab a track calmly and choose it with criteria.

I found out about this album when I got halc's Club Kong album a little while ago. I ended up buying it as part of the bundle on loudr, and I absolutely love it. I've been playing through it constantly for the past couple months. Your arrangement and production quality is top-notch! I've always been a fan of your music and am glad to see you around here on OCR more. Keep up the good work!
Thanks man
Glad you liked it! For sure I'll not stay here just to "enrich the furniture" as I'm already working on my first submission
-
If you bought both Sonic Colors and the latest Daft Punk album you'll know what this is all about. Short composition, just for a laugh :3 You can laugh too
-
That might be interesting :3 plus considering it's gonna be something like 2 years from now, it will give some time to work hard on the tunes :3 I'm a little unsure on what to pick up tough :/ I might need to look up in the "Club Needlemouse Scrapped Tracks Bin" for reference
I'll claim my tune asap.
Anyway, throw me in

Thumbs up for that FM bass dude, is among the best ones I have ever heard.
Also great arrangement (Y) keep it up!
-
Damn, I wish to have your amount of engineering skills
that synth looks wonderful
And so it does your arrangement
love the SNES feeling out of it
-
Don't worry, it's no big deal.
As you were!
Well maybe that appeared a bit pretentious :/ considering that probably that I need to read some guidelines. Now I know... :3

Looks cool.
Only OC ReMixers are allowed to post their music in Community though. Moved to PYGR.
Sorry about that

Shameless advertising, I know, but I figured out I could spread the word about it here too :3
On October 2013 I released with GameChops my first "official" VGM remix album: "Club Needlemouse", mastered by Dj CUTMAN and bLiNd is a 9 tracks project that pays tribute to some of the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise best tunes (at least to me) and at the same time the style of 90s dance, funk, acid jazz and club music. It spawns from the original Sonic game all the way through the latest Sonic Lost World
The album is currently available for purchase on Loudr.fm for 7$, and it's also available for streaming if you go on the label's SoundCloud.
If you dig it, please enjoy and spread the word
Le Tracklist:
1 - A Proper Introduction (Sonic The Hedgehog, Title Theme)
2 - Badnik's Delight (Sonic The Hedgehog, Spring Yard Zone)
3 - Millennium Future Stardust Speedway (Sonic CD, Stardust Speedway JP)
4 - Disco Absolution (Sonic 06, Dreams Of An Absolution)
5 - MJ Garden (Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Marble Garden Zone)
6 - Vanishing Apotos Horizon (Sonic Unleashed, Windmill Isle Day)
7 - Sambopolis (Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Aquatic Ruin Zone)
8 - Windy Groove (Sonic Lost World, Windy Hill)
9 - Needlemau5 - ft. bLiNd (Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Ending Theme)
Oh dear, the time has sure past fast... .-.

So far it's pretty groovin'! The only thing right now that stands out that I would change would probably be to make that open hat a little quieter. Happy Birthday, by the way! I hope you have a good one. c:
Thanks for the feedback man
by the way my birthday was on March 23rd, I surely had a good one but thanks anyway

This album is neat!
All the tunes are extremely enjoyable and catchy, but is "Da Mines" that got a special place in my heart, and got it so nice and cozy that I actually ended up remixing that tune on my own :3
Recommended: gets RoBKTA's stamp of awesomeness
-
This is pretty cool! It gets a bit crowded in some sections though, feeling a bit muddy.
I'd add some delay to the E. Piano synth in 0:42, could sound nice
Drums at 1:18 bother me a bit, why did you do such a strange rhytm haha.
Also, the heavily detuned synth strings are very hit or miss. I don't personally enjoy them.
In any case, I loved how groovy this is. Nice remix
Yay! Feedback!
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I think that probably those detuned synth strings probably are a little bit off I might think about replacing them.
About the "strange rhythm" at 1:18 well is just a drum roll with a heavy swing :3 ...well maybe too heavy
Anyway thanks again

First time I post a remix in here
feeling kinda emotional in here.
Here is my take on SNES Super Mario Kart's tune off Rainbow Road. Is also my batism tune for Logic Pro X. Decided to go for a pretty fast track, in "garage" style
Hope you will like.
