  1. Sure, I wasn't necessarily suggesting you grab the unit from the store--of course Amazon is more reasonably-priced! I'm just saying you may find it useful to touch any given piece of hardware before you buy it.

It would be great for me to try actually the hardware before to buy it, trust me. It's the way should be meant to buy something but the thing unfortunately is that in my hometown there are absolutely NO music equipment stores :/ the nearest one is 40 miles away... and I don't feel like driving

Thanks for the advice again anyway ;)

  2. Looking forward to your first submission! Will it be Sonic, by chance?

Thanks for the comments man, by the way, no it's not gonna be Sonic again: I decided to work on a MegaMan & Bass remix and I'm really putting myself into it.

Along with that, I also managed to set up a pretty nice OutRun remix album I'm gonna release on June, always with GameChops :)

Oh, and I heard what you did there with Needlemau5 ;) The Veldt is one of my favorites!

I made half of that, bLiNd gave me a hand with his magic :3

  3. Whooooaaaa. I think we're jumping to this way too quickly. It seems Sanic is all that pops up on ocremix. I mean, that's clearly not the case, but honestly I feel I hear more about Sonic remixes than anything else.

I'm all for this, but honestly we don't need to constantly just be jumping right into Sonic projects. I think this could be cool, but yeah, like Rexy said, let's take this really slow right now.

Really, instead of recruiting, I think what you should be doing is generating interest. See how many people are interested in doing this. Also be aware of what you're getting into. Directing an album (and from what I'm thinking, this one could be considerably large) is a huge task to take on.

Well is not a bad point, actually. Also given the circumstance that the 25th anniversary would be in 2 years or so will surely give some time to generate interest first and then also give the chance to grab a track calmly and choose it with criteria.

  4. I found out about this album when I got halc's Club Kong album a little while ago. I ended up buying it as part of the bundle on loudr, and I absolutely love it. I've been playing through it constantly for the past couple months. Your arrangement and production quality is top-notch! I've always been a fan of your music and am glad to see you around here on OCR more. Keep up the good work! :-D

Thanks man :D Glad you liked it! For sure I'll not stay here just to "enrich the furniture" as I'm already working on my first submission :P

I publish here a little preview for my upcoming OutRun remix album that is gonna be released on June by GameChops !

Is a 3 minutes preview edit of a "Passing Breeze" remix called "OutRun Bay" that I produced along with the amazing James Landino. Feel free to grab it as it's... well, FREE. :)

OutRax will be out on the first day of summer, June 21 2014.

OutRax is a remix album dedicated to the music of Sega's OutRun racing game series. Produced by RoBKTA, mastered by bLiNd and featuring Dj CUTMAN, halc, Kevin Villecco, Pixel8ter and James Landino.

  6. Shameless advertising, I know, but I figured out I could spread the word about it here too :3

On October 2013 I released with GameChops my first "official" VGM remix album: "Club Needlemouse", mastered by Dj CUTMAN and bLiNd is a 9 tracks project that pays tribute to some of the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise best tunes (at least to me) and at the same time the style of 90s dance, funk, acid jazz and club music. It spawns from the original Sonic game all the way through the latest Sonic Lost World :D

The album is currently available for purchase on Loudr.fm for 7$, and it's also available for streaming if you go on the label's SoundCloud.

If you dig it, please enjoy and spread the word :D

    Buy It or Stream It

    Le Tracklist:

1 - A Proper Introduction (Sonic The Hedgehog, Title Theme)

2 - Badnik's Delight (Sonic The Hedgehog, Spring Yard Zone)

3 - Millennium Future Stardust Speedway (Sonic CD, Stardust Speedway JP)

4 - Disco Absolution (Sonic 06, Dreams Of An Absolution)

5 - MJ Garden (Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Marble Garden Zone)

6 - Vanishing Apotos Horizon (Sonic Unleashed, Windmill Isle Day)

7 - Sambopolis (Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Aquatic Ruin Zone)

8 - Windy Groove (Sonic Lost World, Windy Hill)

    9 - Needlemau5 - ft. bLiNd (Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Ending Theme)

Oh dear, the time has sure past fast... .-.

  7. This is pretty cool! It gets a bit crowded in some sections though, feeling a bit muddy.

I'd add some delay to the E. Piano synth in 0:42, could sound nice

Drums at 1:18 bother me a bit, why did you do such a strange rhytm haha.

Also, the heavily detuned synth strings are very hit or miss. I don't personally enjoy them.

In any case, I loved how groovy this is. Nice remix

    Yay! Feedback! :D

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I think that probably those detuned synth strings probably are a little bit off I might think about replacing them.

About the "strange rhythm" at 1:18 well is just a drum roll with a heavy swing :3 ...well maybe too heavy

    Anyway thanks again :)
