  1. It might've been 5... it was a long time ago. Too long ago.

FAR too long! I wondered if we'd managed to scare you off, what with your sudden meteoric drop off the map. Go! Go! Go! Go!

I think I may indeed go all the way this year... nothing like some nice, nerdy MAG super supporter action. :-P

  2. Stephen, long time no see!

After Majestic Mix closed down, I was sure you'd written off video game music for good. Does this mean we'll see more of you around? Oughta at least make it back to MAGFest again... and marvel at how it's changed over the years! :-D

  3. We're working on it but pretty much all staff is at MAGFest at the moment. It'll be replaced soon!

Found the same thing with Apex in TECHNO cutting off less than halfway through. And just as it was getting so good too!

I suppose I could delete that track and insert the MP3 instead. It's just that mixing lossy and lossless makes me all "Ewwww, my food is touching!" :-P

  4. Not sure I'll be makin' it this year.

Got folks pestering me to attend DragonCon down in Atlanta, the local anime con Zenkaicon, maybe Otakon, and there's no way I'm missing Playa del Feugo... Not to mention my night school obligations -- starring a brutal technical writing course. (You mean I can't just dream up off-the-wall stories to pass this writing class? Crap!)

    :sleepdepriv:

  5. see, i thought this was hilarious. best part of dod at mag every year is the one really random song with more games than it has instruments.

Now, I would've thought it hilarious too, except the Mass Effect series really gets to my inner sci-fi fanboy. Was waiting the whole song to see which melody was covered... yeah, even though it was so obviously a joke song.

    I should've known!

  6. While I was kinda sad to not feel as social as I did last year, MAG was still more fun than a barrel full of nerds. (Or perhaps it WAS a barrel full of nerds? These things are so hard to tell.)

    My highlights:

    - Rob Steele/Animefreak stepping in last minute, giving D-Rux and I a place to stay for Thurs night!

    - Hearing The Megas perform live, and singing along with "The Quick and the Blue" word-for-word

    - Learning that Jimmy Hinson's true inspiration after all these years is none other than pop king Justin Bieber

    - Hearing how DannyB gets PAID to make relatives drunk (for purely artistic purposes of course)

    - Seeing THE Hikori Kikuta in person and listening to his awesomely new agey whale song. Also, the whole "leave your family" monologue! LOL

    - Getting coerced into tipsiness by Katie, and subsequently shouting out "we're all just slightly-more-intelligent monkeys!"

    - Watching DougUltima and Sambubula real-time collab on the ivories (while still tipsy)

    - Being all "no way, that can't be what I think it is" when Arm Cannon started to play the Star Trek TNG theme!

    - Dancing like a fool at Danimal's chiptune concert

    - Hearing new music from The OneUps

    - Geeking out playing Dominion and Magic The Gathering with fellow OCRers

    - Meeting someone who had listened to my tiny ffradio.net internet radio station eons ago!

    - Delicious Thai food, not once, but TWICE

    The not so great:

    - No Indian food

    - Missing Rare Candy's performance

    - Medley-out-the-arse DoD song falsely advertising ME2 content
