  1. Not quite eligible for OCR itself because the primary source is originally an unfinished piece from Toby Fox's work on Homestuck even though there are also several themes from his work in Undertale and Deltarune sprinkled in, and a non-zero chance that Penumbra Phantasm might show up later in Deltarune itself. (There's also a forbidden Square-Enix sound effect, lol) I guess you'd call this symphonic metal, but I'm not really sure, especially with the prominent use of sax as well as orchestra and heavy guitars. What genre would you call it? The primary source was never finished and there are a bunch of incomplete versions floating around, but this remix most closely resembles this piano version: There's also.....several themes from Undertale and Deltarune that make an appearance, too many to link here. Details in the youtube video description.
  2. Updated 8/2/24 - made some minor musical edits and reworked the video significantly Current progress on "To Be Forgotten", an orchestral ReMix of "Freya's Theme" from "Final Fantasy IX" by Nobuo Uematsu. I wanted to make this mix have a huge dynamic range from whisper quiet solo winds to massive and bombastic full orchestra and back. I think I succeeded in that goal, and some real dramatic storytelling happens in the music as a result. I'm at the point where I think it's just about ready to submit, so I'm looking for any last minute feedback on anything that I might have overlooked before I make it official. Original / source material "Freya's Theme": To Be Forgotten (WIP 16).mp3
  3. Another heavy guitar track from me, this one starts off as a little more conservative of an arrangement before breaking free a bit more toward the end. Original Source: I'm pretty happy with how this is taking shape so far. But if I really get critical the drums could probably use a little more attention. And it still may be a little too close to the source for OCR's taste? What do you think?
  4. Literally a game capture of the sound test menu, lmao, but it works for now. I'm the programmer and musician.
  5. Thanks! I'm really feeling good about this too so I went ahead and submitted it. I also posted it to my YouTube (with a fancy video and everything) at:
  6. A sort of post-rock or doom metal-ish take on "Another World of Beasts" from FFVI. Slow, introspective, sludgy, heavy, and moody. What do you think - is this ready to submit? Or does it need more work? Original source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XLQQrN0VCw
  7. Latest WIP (updated 3/26): Original source: I'm really excited about this track and hoping to get it to a point where it can be submitted for OCR. I feel like I'm most of the way there but it still needs a little work and I'd love your feedback! I arranged and recorded or programmed everything except the voice of Madeline, who is performed by the wonderful ElusiveBac0n. I'm also hoping to feature another one of my friends on the sax solo, but that's not recorded yet so there's a virtual one for now. I'd love your feedback on anything at all that you think isn't quite working or up to OCR's standards. From the arrangement to the performance to mixing and mastering, anything at all you hear that's not there yet. I think it might be like 80% there but if not I'm willing to make big changes if necessary. Thank you for your time!
