  1. Brest, France Brittany, the closest area to those americans crazy fellows.

EDIT: Chris owen (linetricks) is now in the middle of the channel. So either he drive a ferry across the channel between roscoff and plymouth or the pin was moved.

  2. For people who are not that far:

Any chapter with access to the fire crystal area. Kill the undead with the sage staff (item menu -> use staff ->target undead)

free life spell that doesn't cost anything. OK you have less than 999JP indeed, but you can access the area quickly and do it indefinitely. (minor some low damage when you're not quick enough)

useful in chapter 3, you can easily grind to level 9 all your job.

  3. I think that's all of it. I did briefly start Tales of Destiny but... quit pretty early in the game to move onto Mass Effect. The story just wasn't doing it for me. (And I loved Tales of Phantasia, so it was a little surprising. I may just skip ahead to Eternia.) KF

I highly recommend eternia, so much stuff to do there, with two world and the wonderful tales combat system.

Gone Home: played it at night in an empty house with headphones on. Loved it. Probably not game of the year material, but it was so cool feeling such an intact story, atmosphere, 90s-setting. Not for everyone, but worth it if you even suspect it's for you.

Mass Effect: as much as I loved KOTOR, I decided it was time to catch up on this trilogy. Finished 1, and 2 is now in the mail. The shooting and cover mechanics were a little annoying, and the occasional geometry or button glitches really bugged me, but the universe was great. I loved reading the codex and trying to get all the information from conversations. Honestly, paragon Shepherd seemed like an airhead no matter which choices were available. Not something I would replay, but I hear ME:2 improved a lot of the weak spots of 1, so we'll see.

Gone home, i played it in the same circonstances as you. At home late in the dark, curious and interesting experience. I need to replay it at one point or another i think.

The mass effect trilogy, a nice experience indeed. Sci-fan as i am i was suck into that universe, Abusive precursor that work on a time scale far above what humanity can manage, and that wonderful music for the galactic map.

    Other highlights include:

    - A Link Between Worlds (I seriously teared up at the title screen when I first turned it on)

Damn i forgot LBW in my list. Nice revisit of the Lttp map, the music are back in full force (i was playing late when switching to Lorule, then the dark world music kick in..i was like: No way i'm going to bed now), i enjoy quite a bit the use of the 3D and the various dungeons.

  4. Dark Soul.

Long time i didn't enjoy a difficulty level that hard without finding it annoying on the long run, added with a dark universe similar to berserk.

    Fallout NV / Skyrim.

Two open world that can be heavily modded, not much to say, just browse the nexus to tailor your experience.

    Gunpoint.

A small indy game i found on steam with a level editor. some user made level are pretty fun, hard and challenging.

    Brutal DooM.

a mod for doom, a bit old but was update last october. respraying the wall in red and using fatality with the berserk pack to finish a hellspawn is fun. Most weapon are reworked and mob sprite now die in a unique way depanding on the weapon used.

    Animal crossing New Leaf.

The game that clocked the highest playtime on my 3ds. collecting furniture and shit. yeah don't try to understand, just play it.

  5. Folks, let's try to post more than just a title or a list of titles. Give some reasons and get some discussion going.

    completly sir.

being a great fan of person of interest, watch dog is the obvious video game step. So far i enjoy sandbox game but with deepness, when the game live is own live without you around you. GTA V has amazed me with all the little things that goes around you (i spent a good amount of time just romaing around listening and looking at people and cityscape around me)

Other thing is i like how HUD is moving now in this next gen video game, being integrated in the game in a more or less intrusive way.
