  1. I buy bunches, but never get a chance to use them. I'm on vibrate most of the time. In the past, I've bought everything from the Inspector Gadget theme to the Notre Damn fight song. Right now, I think I have a bunch of Mario, Zelda, and Tetris tunes. Along with the A-Team theme, Indiana Jones theme, and the Back to the Future theme.

  2. Television - Marquee Moon

    Van Halen - Van Halen

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

I kinda took from three different books there, but the Lamb Dies Down On Broadway by Genesis mentioned above is always a great selection and quite possibly the best one so far in this thread.

  3. I just finished reading this great article in USA Today about James and how influential he was in many genres. He may not have been the nicest guy, but he was an important man in the evolution of music. Even outside of music, he did great work with the Black Power movement and helping to quiet riots.

Also, I want to get his last album, which was put out in '02. That way I would have the beginning and end of The Hardest Working Man In Show Business.

  4. My post from UnMod.

    Let's see here:

For Dad: a bigass grill and tons of grill stuff. He really needed a new one.

For Mom: stuff for entertaining around the home. Stuff like a heated dish for misc. stuff for parties and this huge bowl and stand that you can put tons of ice and booze in. It's great, and I really want one for myself now.

For Bro: a really nice cappuccino machine.

For Sis: a 45 piece knife/kitchen set, blender, and a juicer.

For G-Ma: lots of flowery and smelly shit. Bath stuff, candles, slippers, etc. She really digs it.

For G-Pa: more garage stuff, as usual, and a really cool AA battery charger.

  5. James Brown is one of the all-time greats and one of my personal fav artists. It's sad to see him go, but it had to come sooner or later. Greatest James Brown moment? Rocky IV, of course.

Also, James Brown went straight to hell. It fits him better.

  6. My post from the same thread in UnMod.

Another year, another christmas where my loaded parents go all out. While nothing matches the pure fun I have with the MULE 550 I got last year, I got some good stuff this year:

    -new leather jacket

-tons more Batman stuff (books, games, ornaments, etc.)

-tons of DVDs (everything from Lost to Short Circuit to The Three Stooges, about 20 DVDs in all)

-couple CDs (eager to try out that new Eric Clapton)

tons of gift cards (Best Buy, FYE, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Nobles, etc.)

-a few games (Dead Rising, new Tiger Woods, New Super Mario Bros.)

-new bed because I needed one. Wrought iron, very nice.

-tons of misc. clothes and blankets for some reason. Not that I have anything against blankets mind you. At least they're nice.

That's all I can remember for now. I have to go over to my grandparents tomorrow for round two.

  7. So, TP is set several hundred years after OoT, which means it's not the same cast, by a long shot. The big difference between the Wii and GC versions is that the worlds are mirrored.

And wasn't it mentioned that Wii TP will have an option to switch left/right handed Link, for those who are left handed? I don't think it'd much matter for the cutscenes, since these days a lot of games just use in-game engines to render any cutscenes, rather than pre-rendered scenes.

TP is set about 30 years after OoT from what I've heard.

    Says it right in there.

"The events in this game take place hundreds of years after the end of Ocarina of Time..."

Meh, it's probably outdated news. I've heard about 30 or so years from literally dozens of sources including NOA. It's really no big deal, though.

Yes. Because Nov 19 was so long ago, and internal translation artists from Nintendo can't -possibly- be considered official NOA sources, right? ;)

Even the wiki says it's a few decades later. SUPPORTING MY THEORY THAT THE STORYLINE BROKE INTO TWO AND THERE'S two akasfbnaksf...

Yes, I also support the theory of the storyline breaking into two. It makes more sense.

Also, SilverStar, I've watched videos with the programmers playing the game and stating that the game takes place just a few decades after OoT. Is their a section of the game that might take place hundreds of years later? Maybe, but it's probably a very small section of the game. Like I say, that link is the only one out of dozens of sources that say "hundreds of years."

  10. Last night's episode, Hell on Earth 2006, was great. The Steve Irwin part might've been too soon, but it was a tribute in that South Park style.

That's the thing about South Park; they are quick to jump on any part of pop culture. I remember the South Park movie actually having lines from Episode I...which was released the next year. Matt and Trey saw the line in a early trailer and revised the movie to have the line.
