I'm all for the EA take over...er buy out...er "merger", but please, in the interest of the general public's saftey and sanity, dont include my mix when you play ROFL. It could KILL somebody, and I dont want to be a killer.

Trial Finale sucks. The only thing it's good for is printing sheet music. Isnt there like a 30 dollar Finale Notepad that adds all the midi support and stuff?Yes, but if I'm going to spend my cash on anything I want it to have everything. Midi keyboard support, sound fonts, something for real compositions. I'm saving up for Fruity Loops although I wont have it by April 9th. I can still do a midi wip though by hand, even though it's really hard putting in each individual note without the keyboard.

Just checking in to let you guys know I am STILL working on a sky sanctuary arrangement, although that other guy is going to beat me probably. I'll hopefully have the .mus file ready by next week.
Keep your head up Azar! Just keep working hard! Sky Sanctuary is a sweet song anyways. I'm excited to hear what you come up with.

I really just hope this hard rocking version fits the song well, and I really hope the .mus file is good enough for sith to convert. All in all though, I will have an arrangement ready next week. I just hope it's good.

nesper is totally going to kick my tail, my arrangement is sucking. Finale drives me nuts! I'm still going to try though, and if sith hates my mix then nesper's good to go, but I am not dropping out. I'll take my spring break next week to come up with a completed rock arrangment midi(who knows, maybe I'll shoot for two just in case
).One thing though, when I get it finished, does anybody else here have a completed version of finale so I can send them the .mus to fix the velocities and volume as well as save it in midi format?

i wanted to do sky sanctuary but this thread blew up pretty fucking quick so i did'nt get the chance to get it and i had already started working on it.
If your doing a rock version of it, I'll gladly hand it over. But if not, I'll be willing to compete.
You'd probably win though, I have very limited resources and the most I'll have by that deadline is a .mus file in need of conversion and tweaking. But I'm going at Sky Sanctuary head on, this needs a hard rock arrangment, and I'll use whatever I have to make one.

Up to the remixer what style they want to do. But please, mixers, don't over do the techno. Exceptions for Sir Nuts. I have this interesting idea to have the soundtrack be in like a radioshow like layout. More on that later.
Dont worry, I'm doing a hard rocking version of Sky Sanctuary, although it will just be a midi for the time being, unless I can afford Fruity Loops or Reason in the next month or two. Is it at all possible if I complete the arrangement as a midi for someone to resequence it with better samples?

Anybody mind if I attempt "Sky Sanctuary"? I can only really come up with a midi so I dont want to claim it if someone else does but I would like to give it a try. Maybe by the time it's due I'll be able to convert it to another program that isnt midi.

If I may offer a critique, this is probably the worst of all OCR's projects, many of the songs are just generic trance songs that sound near identical to one another.
That was an opinon dude, not a critique. You have to suggest something for it to be a critique.

I think projects are good, it forces people to mix songs that they wouldnt have and then we can finally get remixes of the songs we have been waiting for. now this happens....

Thank God, it is finally done...Richter, you are the bomb. The remixers are too. "Emerald Nights" nearly had me in tears, it was so cool! I still got to listen to the rest, but I am so happy it's finally complete.
