  1. I wish I had some better people in the area. Really it's just me against my little brother, and although he occasionally beats me, I only have one playing style to fight against... That, and the only other person I can fight against won't because apparently my controller is better than his somehow. Yeah. Ouch.

    trade him controllers

I tried, but he won't use mine because the deadzone is huge. From waay too much smash.

  3. Most XL shirts I find get wider, but stay the same length as a L. I hope that's not the case for your shirts, because I really want one that's much longer than your average L, without getting massively wider.

You need an LT then. Like me. Punk.

  4. It's easier to see where you are, rather than getting a double image, nana is no longer around so it seems like you're able to dodge more attacks, even if you aren't.

Plus I'm pretty sure there's a slight delay when Nana's around that isn't there when she's dead.

I win consistently as Falco or Fox, but the top two tiers should be merged, with shiek moved to the middle tier.

The only characters that belong in the bottom tier are Game and Watch and Jigglypuff.

Yes, I am aware that Jigglypuff is ridiculous. I'm also aware that Jigglypuff is the most predictable fighter in the game. On ground, you can't do anything but rush forward, and in the air you're forced to do one of the punches. Rollout takes too long to be normally useful, and sleep's hitbox is too small. Jigglypuff is NOT on the same level as Captain Falcon or Mario.

  5. I'm not at war, but I have less than 100 citizens and bills are taking away half of my monies every day. It's kinda scary. I'm increasing my infrastructure, but it seems like that's pretty much all I can do at this point (I've got about 1.7).

I finally got my government to where my citizens like it (transitional, the hell?), but they are unhappy with my religion. Apparently they want to follow "divine scriptures"... Does this mean they're Judaists?

  6. I'm in the Panama canal, I have pigs and wine.

    Edit: I'm Simulated Nation.

I'm in desperate need of money though, land's expensive down there (and I wasted $400 of my $500 on it).

I mean, jesus, $400 for a square mile? I'm not made of drugs!

    ...

    Or am I...?

Someone just sent me a message, something about "IRON". Should I join?

  7. I played in a tourney a while ago...

    Second place.

I got beat by a Ganondorf when I was Fox. I started out winning, but he eventually figured out how to counter me... and I think I ended up getting kinda scared of him, jumping straight into predictable tactics.

It was single elimination too, so it's not like either of us had lost any previous matches...

    I want a rematch. =/

  8. All of the clone characters with similar themes could be combined as that only affects tournament play, which is a small minority of buyers. Plus, the game will be overhauled in Brawl, forcing tournament players to relearn it anyway, so Dr.Mario and Mario could be combined, as could Picachu and Pichu, Link and Young Link, Marth and Roy, and, to a certain extent, Fox and Falco. Only Ganondorf and Cpt.Falcon, being from two different games, would have a hard time being combined.

Oh hell no, The clones, although fighting styles were somewhat similar, (except for [Dr.] Mario) all had to change their playing style a LOT to make up for differences in gameplay.

Roy is so much slower than Marth that his smash forward running slash becomes practically useless. His Down-A arial is also practically useless, so no spiking for Roy. However, he's much better at edge-guarding due to his flare blade, which easily could mean the difference between a win and a loss. Roy is also much better at accumulating damage because his opponents don't go flying too far with most of his attacks.

Ganondorf and Captain Falcon... if you don't see the dissimilarities, it's pointless to be reading this.

Link and Young link - Link has much stronger sword attacks and his boomerang is a nice punch to send the enemy flying. Young Link has better bombs and arrows though, making him a little better at slow, medium ranged combat. His boomerang also has a much wider attack range, so it's better for close range than Link's.

Pikachu and Pichu are another great example of this. Pichu's a forward smash is ridiculously short ranged, also causing ridiculous damage. Pichu's is more similar to Mario's smash, a long range (for a melee attack) burst of electricity. Pikachu is much heavier and overall has better range, but lacks Pichu's damaging ability. Pikachu tends to be better at flying ninja attacks than Pichu because of this - He slightly outranges his enemy and hits first.

So as you can see, clone characters ARE clones, but not close enough to force the same playing style on both clones. With the exception of (Dr.) Mario, clones ARE like identical twins, they appear the same at first glance (or second... or third...), but differences can be found if they are looked for.

Keep an open mind and this kind of game is extremely strategic. Just ask Smasha about it (If he's still around anyway).

  9. My favorite stage is Battlefield, simply because I'm such a platform whore. I've pretty much tripled my chance of survival, just because of how difficult it is for my brothers to fight around the platforms. Which is probably why we always play either Temple or Final Destination...
