  1. [00:48:44] <The_Wingless> psst, you up?

[00:50:24] <The_Wingless> anyways, I hope you get this when you come back online

[00:50:56] <The_Wingless> I was talking to Pretzel, and he okayed it if I submitted a song to you over the mIRC

[00:51:06] <The_Wingless> it sounds like a scam, I know, but you can check with him

[00:51:29] <The_Wingless> Anyways, because of a lot of technical problems, I couldn't post it on my mirrors in order to properly submit it in the usual OC fashion

[00:51:36] <The_Wingless> that's why this little transaction is necessary

    [00:51:42] <The_Wingless> anywhore... here's the song

    [00:51:46] <The_Wingless> Enjoy, and I'm out

  2. This is nice once it fina... fuck- my heart just stopped for a second.. that

was bizzare feeling.. just thought i'd record that here in the message

    for the hell of it.

Anyway like I was saying, once it finally comes together in the last

50 or so seconds it's a nice little rocking tune. A shame we couldn't have

that magic the entire way though, but once it comes together it's worth

the wait. Maybe not the most impressive thing i've ever heard, but

definatly better than some of the stuff we've been asked to review for

    submission.

  3. yay. that was pretty. it even managed to keep my attention the whole

    time.

weird instrumentation though. the whole technothrobby bass with

strings didnt feel like a natural integration (eg Batman Beyond Movie

Soundtrack which owns your ass and rents it out). More like someone

put some chocolate syrup on their jello. Both are good individually,

    but dont mix them. :(

But seriously.. isn't this a /tad/ too big for the site?

  4. Ok, I just finished listening to the FF7 one. but I have to rant

about this remix first cause it's good.

The synth lines are very fun and the swirling pads covering the

filler for the chords make a nice contrast. The lead line has a great

ravy sound to it, reminds me of a dune track or something.

The ZEAL THEME HAS 40,000 REMIXES!!!!1```

    :(

Yes, that is a strike against it, but the fact that I just adore the theme

is two strikes negative, so it ends up one ahead before we even get

started. Luckily I liked it, so I say yes, good deal.

  5. Nice little synth stuff on this one. Pretty cool. I dont like the voice

samples though. They just seem too goofy and out of place. If they were

heavily distorted and this was a hardcore techno/industrial horror track

then yeah, they'd be right on the money, but as a light and bouncy

electronica dance type track they just dont feel right to me.

  6. I accedentally voted yes before even listenign to the song because i though i had clicked on another remix.. heh.

So I'll listen to the remix now and give a quick write up.

Right off the bat this is reminding me of Dune rave music, which I like,

so that's a good thing. I wish there was a little bit more going on,

maybe some goofy voice samples talking about why house music

is good for your soul or something. But over all, I'm liking this

tastey little rave track. Looks like I'd probably have clicked yes anyway.

Granted there is still another 1:30 for something bad to happen, but

I'm enjoying the energy, so short of the ending just being crap, I

can't see anything wrong with this remix.

The ultra cliche 2 measure long snare rolls are right on cue for the

energy of a rave hardcore house dance track. The light melody is

nice and simple, but I do wish there was an arp line somewhere in the

background to fill out the midrange. then again we all know i like a wall

    of sound.

This gets the monkey machine's thumbs up, but with a post it note for

    future endevors..

now, give me more fun videogame rave music.

  7. Several neat things going on here in this remix, but it doesn't

seem like many of them ever coincide. The four on the floor style of

dance just doesn't seem to lend itself to spartan arrangement. The

lead synth line is neat, sorta warbly and whimsical, not unlike the theme

itself. However I think it just needs more support. Some spiced up

drums, something than just a synth line and a thud-hat-thud-crash

    drum line.
