Besides playing video games, I've always had a passion for taking photos of objects and wilderness. I know you can get a job being a photographer, but I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience in it. How hard is it to get a job, is the money good enough to make a living/career out of it, etc.
I'm looking to get into a more serious camera finally(D-SLR), so if I can get a job doing what I love, I'd never have to work a day in my life. I think that's a famous quote or something..

How do you figure that their value has "plummetted" if they have a greater market share and are earning way more revenue than ever before? I don't have any problem with GameStop, personally. It's a store, for games. No big deal.
Only thing that irked me is when they tried to sell me an opened game at new price.

He always came off as being too fucking nitpicky for my tastes.
Of course now that I'm doing video game reviews, I'm starting to be likened to him.
It's not like they're 100% serious reviews though. He purposely tries to nitpick every flaw that he can find.

What's so bad about the guy? He also does other things besides his version of game reviews(which I've been watching since he called himself the Angry Nintendo Nerd) that are pretty good.

I've always wondered this about throwing weapons, since I've never used em, but what happens when your stack runs out? Can you repair them or something and have the quantity replenished?

I hate waiting for this patch. I don't even want to play since I'm pretty much just gonna start over when the ladder resets.

I used to care about duels wayyyyyyyy back in the day. Now, it's just pointless IMO. I just like to farm crap now.

I thought about making a poison necro because I just got that unique Kris or whatever that adds a lot to poison abilities. I was going to look it up, but for some reason battle.net's Diablo 2 site is making my computer completely crash. The screen goes blank. This is so weird.

I'm loving my Multishot zon because my Valk pretty much never dies, lol.

HC wouldn't be as hard as it is if it wasn't for the fact that sometimes the game suffers from 10+ second lag spikes. So your best bet is to just leave the game as soon as you notice it.

Oh, hello thread.
I actually just got back into D2 a few weeks ago. I figured I'd give a Lightning Sorc a go. Bad idea. Everything is freaking lightning immune on Hell. I read about the infinity merc, but good luck to me getting those runes.
Been breezing through the game on an Amazon right now.
Anyway, can't wait for the patch.

As long as my DS's touch screen doesn't turn into the displays at retail stores, I think I'll manage.

Why would you ever want to turn video games into a job.
Who said it was a job? What do you think this is, MLG? That's a little too seriously.
What I meant by my initial post, is when I'm playing, I really couldn't care who wins/loses.

Why would you ever want to take video games seriously.
Some people like to play games competitively. You know, tournaments with prize money.

Just don't ever play Elite Beat Agents on your new DS.
I used to use my DS Phat exclusively for Elite Beat Agents.

falcon is more than a bit overpowered, i think
Wait, what?
-
So people are still playing this?
My friends and I play it from time to time, but only for fun. This game is hard to take seriously.

Not even a capital P.

On my DS Lite, if you look real close, you can see a bunch of tiny dents from tapping on the screen for so long, lol.
-
The only thing I didn't like about Mad World is how it looks like garbage on an HDTV :\ It only does 480i too.
-
I used to worry about scratches for the DS. You only really see them when you try to look for it, but I mean, it's a touch screen.. you almost have to expect them to appear eventually. I hate screen protectors because they almost seem impossible to get on without any air bubbles. :\

Yeah, that's what I figured. I mean, I look at these photographers at sporting events and wonder how much pressure they have to get the perfect shot, and how easy it is to lose a job if you aren't good. Maybe I should just turn this into a photography hobby thread where everyone can share pics
Here's some random pictures I've taken.
Damned powerlines ruined this shot. No photoshop involved here. This is really how the sky looked, heh.
