Tyler Heath (you may know him as Unknown) did a series of pieces called "Artifact of Power," in which he remixed all of the Ocarina songs save for the Sun's Song and Epona's Song. I believe it went like this:
Movement 1 - A Storm in the Desert (Song of Storms, Bolero of Fire, Requiem of Spirit)
Movement 2 - At the Bottom of Lake Hylia (Serenade of Water, Zelda's Lullaby)
Movement 3 - Traveling through the Woods (Minuet of Forest, Saria's Song, Prelude of Light)
Movement 4 - Shadows Left by Time (Nocturne of Shadow, Song of Time)
I wouldn't know where to find the last three since they were on VGMix before it went down.

Just heard this on the news. Utter tradegy.
Hopefully tomorrow won't bring any sad news...

The 8th song, If you mean the stage where sonic is going against the Mario world baddies, sounds like it's from the original Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSX. Well more or less from the arrangement CDs that came out for it some time ago.
My video game music knowledge isn't the greatest, so that list may as well say "random video game" where I said arrangement album
-
1st Song = BlueLightning
2nd Song = Needles
3rd Song = can't hear over sound effects; sounds like original VG track
4th Song = Wood Man remix; doesn't sound like something from OCR
5th song = maybe something from an arrangement album
6th song = again, somethin from an arrangement album
7th song = BubbleMan(wantstoget)FunkedUp
(skipping invincibility; that's a straight game rip
8th song = sounds like another arrangement album
9th song = Type A from SSBB
10th song = another arrangement album
11th song = UNTS UNTS UNTS UNTS
Obviously we need to fill in the gaps, but three of those are definately from OCR.

I'm still trying to comprehend that he's gone. He was a good man, and will be missed

-”On the audio side, veteran composer Jen Senoue is taking a smiliar approach, injecting familiar Sonic themes with a Celtic flavor.”
Only thing I found any interest in on this list.

Congrats
Yeah yeah yeah.

Why do people keep bringing up this imaginary premise? Does nobody remember pushing blocks? Waiting for platforms and spike ceilings? Slogging through water levels? Pretty much the only levels that ever fit the "hold right" philosophy were the very first ones in each game.
Ok, so you got me there. BUT, speed was the crucial element that separates Sonic from Mario back in the day. Obviously, anything that takes away from this aspect just gives you another clucky platformer that frustrates you after the tenth time you've fallen into the same pit.
Of course, same with any game that gets announced, we just have to wait to see if it's A) real, and worth it's weight in rings.
-
I also agree with DarkeSword.
I'm glad we're trying to make Sonic not do what he was originally meant to do: run through the damn stage as FAST as possible. A big-ass battle sword? I'll play Zelda if I want to slash shit.

And here's where Grant's ending up- Big Huge Games, known for the RTS series Rise of Nations and XBLA game Catan. He looks to be taking a more supervisory role as audio director. The company's in Maryland, too, so it's a pretty big step for the guy.
I'm going to live in the state that has the company that Grant Kirkhope is going to be an audio director???

I've ALWAYS loved the Banjo Kazooie music. Need moar remickz
Quoted for truth, justice, and the hope that someone will rise to the call.
Sorry to see him leave, but here's to hoping he continues makin' music.
-
That's terrible My thoughts go to him and his family. I sincerely hope he recovers.
-
Well, one day there will be a "proper" project for it. Probably multiple. But right now, it isn't happenin'.

I got locked out of my OLR account too, trying to update the email address.Check ur PMz

Guess I should promote OLR in this thread.
COME JOIN OVERLOOKED REMIX!
As it says on the links page here at OCR, we are the "comedic offshoot and bastard stepcousin" of OverClocked. If any of you remember the EAR and BEER competitions, this site is like a treasure trove of those type of mixes! We even have a Judges' panel like OCR!
We also have an UnMod, so nyah. Well, our entire forum is pretty much unmoderated cuz we don't give a shit...
So if you have a goof mix (or something you don't want anywhere else but OLR *wink wink*), come on over! We don't bite...hell, I'd be surprised if there was a reaction at all.
And remember, not all of our music is bad!

The track goes to the first person to send me a WIP that I like.
That's right; you said that in the first post. I should probably lurk moar

I told Tauce I have an idea for Token Tango, but it isn't gonna be ready for the next deadline.
I don't know how you guys would handle that (since pu_freak is taking a stab at it).

I just beat all of the challenges and collected all of the trophies, and I can't copy my data onto an SD card!
Fuck this game.
-
Why hasn't anyone uploaded a working copy of this album? Goldwave doesn't work on macs, so I'm pretty much SOL until someone fixes the copies on the website and/or torrent.
You can always do it with Audacity...I just tested it with my MacBook Pro and it worked.
-
Some feedback on this would be really nice
DarkeSword said in #ocrwip that it might be too liberal for OCR...
-
Seeming how I've never beaten CT, I'll probably wait til after everyone else gets this and raves/bashes it.
And I suppose finish it if I get the chance.
-
This argument will never cease because there are people out there who are only about getting free music, and then the people who try and support their favorite artist, regardless of whether or not the song it is up against is 10x better.
As far as I understood, Andy made the thread reminding people that this contest is going on, and stated the several OCR artist who are in the contest. He said nothing of VOTING for them. So it's up to the listener to decide, which goes along with the first sentence.
Also, I saw the OurStage debate thread of '08.

Wes on DS: Mega Man (ZX or Advent?).
I'm sorry, but that totally looks like a PSP to me
