  1. You can't sign your intellectual property rights to someone else with no compensation or consideration.

This. An original owner of any piece of artwork whether music or graphic should at least have a personal right to use it as a portfolio piece on their own personal website or as a submission to a client or company if said owner feels it's worthy of demonstration purposes. Copyright cannot be given up freely be it a live performance or written guitar or sheet music.

  2. Unfortunately some of my favorites of Sam's work that are still missing are:

    - Playing Super Mario World While Taking Mushrooms

    - Adventures in Dinosaur Land (Supernesology)

    - Super Mario Bros Alternate Reality x3

    - Super Street Fighter Alternate Reality Edition

(I know I mostly plugged the Mario rearrangements, but those ones always stuck with me).

I'm wondering if he's being internet stalked. I've had to take down things online sometimes because of that. I recently stopped freelancing due to internet stalkage. Or is he depressed? For such a great musician I can understand the two of these possibilities.

  3. Usually between January and February is my real downtime mood-wise. That's because every year since 2002, I keep remembering February 7th 2002, a day that changed my life forever. I won't get into it, it actually ruined me psychologically speaking.

Prayer, meditation, and a good dose of music similar to "Happy by Pharrell Williams" gets me up and going again. This year, I've actually been doing a lot of exercising as well as getting lots of music done. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

  4. I remember hearing this when dubstep first started reaching America from the UK before being ripped apart by bro-step (I like Skrillex type dubstep, just think it's overdone).

There's no other way to say it; this is the darkest, creepiest, raunchiest, most vile masterpiece that I have ever heard. From the first reverberated wub to Ganondorf laughing before a low-heart warning drop, I have chills. The chip arps, the cutoff effects, all nasty and filled with pure evil just the way a pitch black Zelda dungeon would be in real life. If I had to fill Link's shoes and walk into a dungeon hearing this, I will be paralyzed with fear.

I'm not going to sleep tonight...probably because I'll be playing this over and over again. :nicework:

  5. I used to be against this kind of networking but I found that putting yourself out there is definitely a rewarding experience especially in an online world where spammers only try to prey on people's interests. Welcome to the A-Ron friendship circle. The best place to reach me is Twitter if you want to get a hold of me.

Mods: may want to move this to the Community Discussion section, unless of course this somehow ended up here via an algorithm similar to this:

  6. So recently I injured my back and tore a muscle in my leg and I'm having a hard time sitting for long periods of time in front of a desktop computer because of the pain. I'm currently on a work leave of absence and will be browsing and posting more often. Which leads me to this topic which may have possibly been posted before.

While lying down and resting I'm using my Samsung Galaxy to browse most of the forums I post and network in now but I can only view the whole site on OCR. I tried Forum Fiend but only get the same result. It could be the issue that vBulletin and Tapatalk APIs are a bad combination.

Is there a way to view a vbulletin powered forum (this one) on a Google Play app, or should I just suck it up and post when I can?

  7. For some odd reason, this makes me think of Get Lucky by Daft Punk in the beginning, but alas, I was wrong once 0:35 hit. I've been listening to SuperiorX's work for quite a while. He's come a long way as a mixer and this shows how versatile he is. The choice of leads, chorus effect settings, and did I mention dat electro bass? Awesome! The composition in itself is fun and brings the Saturday night fever onto the modern dance floor.

  8. This is a very well done remix. The usage of the brass, glocken, and 70s waka waka guitar really make this wonderful ear candy. The switch between the minor and major chords into another key signature around 2:25 is another great great winner. I do feel though the mix needs more vocalage. Just saying "The Goddess Gets Groovy Tonight" every once in a while kind of left me waiting for a Jordanius rap verse or something. Must be my occassional ZoneRunner's listening that gives me that vibe. I'd give this one 9/10.

  9. I'm not really into resolutions. Let's just call my "resolutions" a 2015 to attempt list (because resolutions are realistically unattainable):

    - create my very first cartoon based EDM music video.

    - learn to play the guitar (see Christmas loot thread).

    - really kick things off freelancing.

    - release my first app on Google Play (does anyone with an iTunes Dev license want to help port it to iPhone?)

    - eat gluten free (except cookies).

    - eat healthier because I'm getting fat.

    - go jogging once a week in warmer months.

    - buy a house.

    - take my wife dancing even if we have to crash a wedding to do it.

    - preach an anti-Western-American Christian sermon (I'll explain it in PPR if I need to).

    - zipline.

    - ride a motorcycle.

    - join a band in a side project.

    - swim across a lake.

    - actually attend a Comic-Con instead of attempting to do so.

After reading the list back, I'm just going to take things one day at a time.

  10. So far, before spending money on gift certificates, here's the what I got:

Thanks to my wife having a Super Nintendo, I can challenge myself while taking breaks from graphic design.

Or I can teach myself the guitar thanks to my brother in law.

Who cares if Keurig was recalled? If one knows how to use it safely, this says it all.

  11. Haha, I'll bet if I say the title of this remix too many times it may manifest something really disgusting physically; I kid.

The composition remains quite quirky and definitely gives off the Beetlejuice vibe. I do hear a few sections here and there that remind me of Johnny Depp's Dark Shadows, but honestly when I really think of the whole mix in general, the first thing that comes to mind in the beginning is Kefka, and then near the end, I scratch my head wondering if someone is going to compose music similiar to this for an Addam's Family remake. It's great for an orchestral mix. Lots of fun.

  12. I've changed my plans considering a lot of complications in college, depression diagnosis, Aspergers and marriage. I too at 31 am still not sure what I'd like to do as a career. All I know is that I want to do something in the field of audio even if it's just transcribing audio books for blind people. Music is now just for fun. I've moved from hip-hop to EDM and LSDJ/Korg DS-10 chiptuning, and I feel better just taking music one day at a time.
