  1. browsing the wii shop channel is kinda like an online window shopping game...

Especially when you're not willing to shell out $10.00 increments to get a game you want that's only 800 Wii points...gah.

But seriously, I love VC. Much more so than VD.

  2. If 10 kids would be kidnapped because of playing a Nintendo game online, it STILL doesn't warrant pissing off millions of players.

Dude, are you joking? This would be a horrible PR move and Nintendo would be labeled as the "kidnap console," and all of their profits would go down the drain. They're doing it precisely to avoid any kind of misdealings with kids.

Take a chill pill and let go of the instant gratification once in awhile.

  3. I'd doubt MP8 is going to be overly different from the previous MP games...but Super Paper Mario sounds sweet, definitely getting that at release.

    Dude. Wii. Wii controller.

    Wii controller minigames!

    OH WAIT ITS BEEN DONE

j/k, I'm actually looking forward to it.

  4. I don't honestly understand why people get an "ego" from playing a video game.

    A VIDEO GAME.

Now, I'm saying that with the idea that I've been playing video games for a long time and I'm fairly good at some of them. But being arrogant because you can beat someone at a video game? That's pretty ludicrous. That's why I laugh when I play Halo and completely suck, and people call it "skill." The only skills learned from a video game are those pertinent to THAT video game.

Being a good sniper in Halo doesn't mean you'll be great with a sniper rifle in real life, nor does ultra-leet Smashing skills translate over in to real life.

It's a fricken game, stop taking it so seriously.

(BTW, I agree with the items people. Items make the game fun)

  5. Personally, I enjoyed the development of the side characters that was so well done in TP. I was kind of hoping for the group of people at the bar to have more character development, but I guess I can be satisfied with the kids.

The one thing that I didn't get was the lack of character development for Zelda; I mean, yeah, Midna was important, but Zelda's development was zil.

All in all, a great narrative, great dungeons, great game. The only thing missing was that small-town feel I got from Windfall that I loved so much. But I'm in the minority, apparently.

  6. My major beef with TP (While I loved and enjoyed it and actually beat it this time) was that there was nothing similar to Windfall Island from Win Waker. I seriously must have spent half of the time that I played in Wind Waker on that island, exploring and finding things to do. I missed that sens of community and things to do. That was, however, my only real beef with the game.

    It was friggin' spectacular.

  7. Well, I beat it a few days ago (on the gamecube). It was a blast, primarily because I shielded myself from spoilers until I beat it.

The only thing I really missed was a place like Windfall Island in Wind Waker. I honestly spent 20 or so hours just screwing around on the island. There was so much to do and so many people to talk to. Everything was so spread out in TP that I didn't get the same kind of feel. Castle Town was the closest thing, but it just annoyed me with all the people who didn't talk.

I really missed the Pictobox too. Other than that, it was a stellar game. Best game I ever completed (that's not saying much, but at least it's saying something).

  8. I hope they don't take out Doc. He's the man.

Or Young Link. Clones rock when they're better than the original.

Link is better than Young Link, Dr. Mario is better than Mario

If they took out Doc, I hope they'd at least fix up Mario, or just make Doc a costume and would also swap his style around (hits would have different effects as the clones do now)

Says who? The character is only as good as the player.

  9. You know, the DS cases are almost perfectly sized to hold game cards. See for yourelf. Grab a DS case, and open it ip. Take all the stuff out. Now, slide a card underneath the little tabs on the left side of the left half. Place a few more to the right and a few down the side. It fits nine cards. If you could move the plastic ridge on the left over a bit (or even get rid of it altogether), you could fit nine in with enough room to be able to take them out.

Repeat for the other side. That's eighteen games in one flat, durable container. If there was a case that did this, or even a decent mod, I'll use it. I expect my DS collection to grow enough in the next while to need something like that.

I use these for my game cases :P

Wow, you own Sprung? You must REALLY be committed to the DS. (ha ha, j/k)

  10. That would be awesome if they could do that. I'm pretty sure if they dedicated the game to be nothing but painting, than it would work out fine.

I was hoping for some kinda of digital camera attachment that lets you edit the photographs that you take on the DS, that would be a pretty nifty thing to have.

They could call it-- no, wait for it, the "DS Camera"!

    Brilliant!

  11. Items are the best part of the game. I hate playing people that go by "official" crap rules. Items on normal, all stages on random, and just PLAY THE GAME.

No pokefloats or Big Blue though.

Why not? I've had some of the best times while jumping crazily between racecars or floats. Smash is a whole lot more fun when you play the entire game.

  12. Mmm.. I'd say Sonic is probably in. He's just a really obvious great choice.

    NO

His primary attack is a freakin' jump. And I don't want to get spammed by idiots who just mash the homing attack button. Ugh.

What is Mario's primary attack in his games again? I seem to recall this "jumping" ability, but I',m not so sure.

Oh yeah, and they were able to come up with attacks for Mario other than jumping. I wonder if they have creativity enough to make Sonic an interesting character...hmmm...
