  1. At least two years ago I posted a work in progress on a Brinstair Red remix. Unfortunately, soon after posting my computer harddrive crashed and I lost all my work. I decided I wanted to try for a different direction with the remix and started over.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR

One day I'll be competent in dubstep production and I'll finally be able to finish this remix.

  2. There's a little bit too much noise in here too. I don't know if that is purposeful or accidental. Clarify?

This is my fault. I'm still a beginner with the program I'm using, so I don't know much about mastering or adjusting noise/EQ levels. Once I get a handle on that (as well as extending the song and doing something about the other points you mentioned), I'll post another WIP link.

  3. I haven't heard this mix until just now. I kinda wish I didn't listen to it. It's not the vulgarity of the track that I mind. It's the fact that the lyrics are just so... corny. The majority of the lines feel forced and fake, as if they're just there to take up space and provide a rhyme for a previous line.

If the sole purpose of the song was to make the audience laugh, the song failed in that respect. If the sole purpose was to offend quite a few people, then judging by the rest of this thread, the song fulfilled its purpose.

  4. As far as production goes (where you're talking about reverb and decay and delay and all that nice stuff) I'll see if I can figure that out. I'm still pretty new to all this music making and I'm not quite sure how to speak the lingo.

Chord transitions and pitch swapping I know, I'll give that a try.

Yes, I'm looking to extend the mix quite a bit, just looking for suggestions on what to add.

  5. I use FL Studio 9, and I want to make an instrument fade, but I haven't been able to find a tutorial to do that. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Also, I'd like to be able to make a single channel swap from the left speaker to the right speaker without sounding like I manually changed the sides, if that makes any sense (I'm not good with the technical terms). Is there a way to do this?
