  1. The People's Remix Competition 223 PRCv9-15 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! After an amazing turnout in the last round, Sir Nuts beated Hoboka by small difference. Yami claimed third place. With 8 songs, it was one of the better PRC's. This round's source is selected by Sir Nuts: Source: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (PC) - Hell frozen Over theme MID Wikipedia ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. The 'login to submit an entry' button should be fixed now. GOOD LUCK! PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by TUESDAY JULY 24th 2012 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of last round can take part by submitting a bonus mix, but he cannot win the round and get any votes. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  2. It's results time. Total number of mixes - 7 + 1 Bonus Total number of votes - 8 Maximum Score - 24. Sggod89 did a bonus mix and selected this source. Chroxic got 1 point, and gets the last place wooden spoon. Beaker, FreakyT and Trism all got seven points, ending at fourth position with 12 points. Yami received 8 points, worth a third place Hoboka got a nice number of 17 points, but still it is not enough to win, it's a second place. And the winner is Sir Nuts with 19 points. Congratulations Sir Nuts, you are the winner. It was a close battle for #1 and #2 but you won. Everyone thanks for participating and I hope to see all of you back in the next rounds. Sir Nuts, you may select the source for PRC223. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). Send your source as fast as you can, I need to have the source tomorrow already because I'm leaving for a vacation on Friday. You can find the votes with comments here: http://compo.thasauce.net/votes/index/PRC222
  3. Next time, please wait with upgrades till after the voting stage to prevent that people vote different, like you mentioned already.
  4. Those comments are OK, commenting on a bonus track before the results are announced is fine with me, and you also may say that you liked that track a lot. But I prefer to see those comments after the voting stage. Commenting on titles before the deadline is also fine with me. Voting for the song with the best title name is not OK. I edited the scores according to the correction of Hoboka's vote. There's still one day left to vote.
  5. Don't worry, I'll fix that. No problem. I think I wrote NEXT since PRC131 when I took over PRC from Rexy. I contacted Rama about the broken log-in button a while ago but got no response. I'll notify him again about the problem.
  6. Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. 7 entries and 1 bonus track are submitted. To vote, do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. - Participants are encouraged to vote. They aren't allowed to vote for themselve, but they receive an added first place if they vote. - Do not vote for Sggod89's song. Sggod89 has a vote that counts twice. You have until NEXT Wednesday, July 11th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. 7. With three entries already, there's no need for an extention already.
  8. That's one of the reason why a link to both ThaSauce and the original location of the MID (mostly in the PM from last rounds winner). At least one of the links must work always. Using IE goes combined with problems sometimes as well, but I never had problems with Chrome and Firefox. There's not much time for extentions this time because I'm leaving for vacation next Friday (13). The next round starts Thursday or Friday morning (depending on when I get the source). Because I'm back at 22 July (sunday), there's no need to deviate from the regular PRC time planning.
  9. The People's Remix Competition 222 PRCv9-14 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Sggod89 claimed the victory by default. 12. The People's Remix Competition 221 PRCv9-13 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! OneUp managed to win last rounds PRC and selected the source even before the results where posted. Evktalo was close, but OneUp won by one point difference. 13. It's results time. I forgot to post this yesterday, but I edited the votes before, so the end results were correct already on ThaSauce. Even the new source is already selected. Reason for the late announcement: the dramatic EK match between The Netherlands and Germany (1-2). Total number of mixes - 4 + 1 Bonus Total number of votes - 6 Maximum Score - 21. Sggod89 did a bonus mix, he could not win and receive any votes. Trism did a good mix and received several points, but he still gets the last place wooden spoon. with 9 points. Zerothemaster managed to get his song in the third position with 12 points. Evktalo was close to win, but he must be satisfied with second place, and 16 points. And the #1 is OneUp with 17 points. Congratulations OneUp, you are the winner. It was a very close, only one points difference. I don't have to tell you how to submit a source because you already did. 16. The People's Remix Competition 220 PRCv9-12 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Sggod89 was last rounds album special winner. Two songs where submitted, and his song is selected by DusK and DjMokram as contest winner. This round is regular again. This round's source is selected by Sggod89: Took me awhile, but I found a suitable source. Finding MIDIs for newer games is a challenge but luckily this one existed. 17. The winner has been decided. The winner is: Sggod89. If anyone wants to leave comments on the songs, feel free to post them in this thread. Congratulations Sggod89. You're song is not only selected by DusK and DjMokram as song for the album, you also may select the source for the next PRC(220). Send your source to me by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). Do that as soon as you can, but before Friday. Remember to select a source with a MID file added. You may also select a source without a MID, but then you must provide a second source with a MID file. Check it at the list: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above).
  18. Two entries where submitted. The source seemed to be to hard to remix for most of them. Still, Danger Hawk and Sggod89 managed to remix the source. Sir Nuts did a mix, but didn't submit it (I believe this is a bonus mix). If you have a song but couldn't get it in on time, but still wants it to be part of this round; upload it somewhere and post it in this thread. DusK and DjMokram decide, so they might take the song in account as well if you're fast enough. DusK and DjMokram decides who of these two wins the contest.
  19. It is a good idea, but if that happends, it's better to stop PRC and start a new remix contest. I also don't know there's enough interest for such a competition to organize every two weeks. In the beginning of such a contest there will be a good number of participants, but after a while probably less persons are interested and a minimum of four is required to have a contest. Looking at PRC, the average is 2/3 entries now. But it might be a good idea for an anniversary/special PRC. Three days left, I hope to see a good number of songs. Don't let DusK and Dj Mokram down.
  20. A few important notes: The winner of this round will not be decided by a voting stage, but the organization of the Gunstar Heroes album will select the winner. Because there's no voting stage, the deadline is extended to wednesday 30 May. Also, if anyone wants to use PRC for an upcoming album you can ask me, I'm open for it. There's no need to win a PRC round to do. Of course I don't want every PRC round to be an album special, but once in a while is fine.
  21. The People's Remix Competition 219 PRCv9-11 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Last round was one of the best ones ever. Meccaneer finished fifth, claiming 8 points. Trism did a good job as well, ending fourth, with 9 points. Sir Nuts claimed 14 points, which is a strong third position. Hoboka was close to win, but 15 points is worth a second place. And the winner is DjMokram with 16 points. Congratulations DjMokram, you are the winner. It was a very close, and 16 points is not even close to the maximum 27 points. That is a very positive sign, and all the songs scored at least one point.
