  1. Sorry for the late announcement, but.. It's results time. The votes are in. Total number of mixes - 5 Total number of votes - 6 Maximum Score - 18. 3. I edited the first line, this is PRC202, not PRC2021. That one will happen in 2081. Maybe Ocremix is big enough and has enough remixes then to not allow any source to be a PRC song.
  4. The People's Remix Competition 202 PRCv8-20 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Last PRC had two participants, and two winners. Both of the remixes got 15 points so it's a tie. Two new sources are selected. Zerothemaster submitted the first source for this edition. The Mega Man Battle Network series is the series that got me into gaming in the first place. I joined it at BN5 (a little late, I know), and have loved the series ever since. It's due to that game that I'm a hardcore MM fan today... if it hadn't been for it, I wouldn't have even found OCR! D: But this is my favoritest track of the entire series: Cold and Silent, Battle Network 1. The most inspiring and dark track in the series. I can't wait to hear all the remixes! SubNormal J3 submitted the second source for this edition. Awesome. I'll go with the following track then: Star Fox 2 (Unreleased SNES Game) In the spirit of Star Fox 64 3-D releasing next week, here is a track from Star Fox 2. It is pretty dynamic so it should be fun to arrange. Mega Man Battle Network (GBA) - Cold And Silent (Ice Man) Star Fox 2 (SNES Unreleased)- Eladard ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by MONDAY SEPTEMBER 12th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winners of PRC201, Zerothemaster and SubNormal J3, both can take part, but they have to remix each others source. They don't have a vote that counts twice. They are also allowed to remix their own source as a Bonus Mix. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  5. That's correct. Both of you must pick a source. I've send a reply to the PM.
  6. It's results time. The votes are in. Total number of mixes - 2 Total number of votes - 5 Maximum Score - 18. I decided to not edit the scores because it doesn't matter. Both Zerothemaster and SubNormal J3 claimed the last place wooden spoon and victory with 15 points!! Congratulations SubNormal J3 and Zerothemaster. Voting ended 2-1 for Zerothemaster (and both of you voted), but the double vote makes it a tie. Zerothemaster and SubNormal J3, you both may select the next source for PRC202. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file if you can) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). 8. The People's Remix Competition 201 PRCv8-19 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! After the special PRC200 with the legendary Ice Cap theme as source it's time for a 'normal round' again. Last time 5 good songs where submitted, but only one can win and Beckett007 is the lucky one. Nutritious submitted the source for this edition. Hey man, I'd like to choose the Battle with Gannon track from Zelda: A Link to the Past for the next PRC. Thanks, Nutri Beckett007 was also allowed to pick a source, but I didn't receive a source yet. Because I'm not around for the next few days, I decided to start this one already. Beckett007 still may submit a source to me for the next PRC. Please do this before voting of this round ends. I'll use that source and the source selected by the winner of this round for the next PRC. This means he is allowed to submit a song in this round (and win). Nutritious is, as selector of the source, only allowed to submit a bonus mix. Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - Battle With Ganon ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. He's also allowed to submit one or more bonus mixes. Doulifee's PRC Archives! For information about the previous contests.
  9. I don't know what you want, but all above (except the parts about the source) is completely nonsense (sorry for that, but you cannot punish someone for saying the words why so serious. The only one who is cyber bullying is you. Beckett007, don't send your details. The PRC is a remix competition just for fun, and all entries submitted are related to the competition forever, when they are up in the voting stage (even if it is a bonus mix). And I make the rules, so I decide what happens with the songs. Many people mainly focus on the main lead on the source, and other parts (the ones you used) aren't recognized by ear, according to some voters. You can be dissappointed about that, but since we are not professional, you cannot expect that we recognize everything. I recognized some parts, so I decided to allow your songs as an entry. I'm not taking any action about this yet, but I'll ask the moderators to take a look at this. I only edited the sentence.
  10. You are right, you did use the source, otherwise the entry wasn't allowed as entry and should be a bonus mix. But that's not the case; however the source wasn't recognised as much as in the other songs. But this remix competition allows to do this.
  11. It's results time. The votes are in. Total number of mixes - 5 Total number of votes - 6 Maximum Score - 18. V___ gets the last place wooden spoon with 5 points. Zerothemaster nine points and did the most creative entry. He gets fourth place. SubNormal J3 and Obtuse claimed a second place with 10 points. And the winner of PRC200 and a free ticket to Launch BaseZone winner is Beckett007 with 14 points!! Congratulations Beckett007 you have won this special PRC edition. Beckett007, you may select the source for PRC201. 12. Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. 5 entries are submitted. Funny detail: All the songs have a length between 2:58 and 3:27, only a half minute difference (so I'm not accepting arguments like the song is too long or too short:mrgreen:). 13. The People's Remix Competition 200 PRCv8-18 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! This is a special moment. In October 2003 it started, and now we are almost eight years later. In those years many PRC happends, PRC26, the first anniversary was the most succesfull round. Several rounds ended up with only one song, but it never happened that a PRC didn't receive an entry. Caleb Kinkaid (Reelmojo) started the contest. After that, Kamoh (Estevao), The Orchicalcon, Rexy and myself hosted this contest. For myself, it is already the 70th PRC as host. Last round was a really interesting one. An amazing number of 11 entrants appeared and I received the same amount of votes as well. I planned something special and different for this round, but the winner, Nutritious gets to select the source for PRC201. The winner of this round also may do that. This means everyone can enter this round. The goal of PRC is to remix sources which aren't remixed many times. One of the restrictions for a winner in selecting the source is that it doesn't have an OC Remix. Also the source is not allowed to be the main source in previous PRC's. This edition, we do it different. Instead of remixing less remixed sources, we now are going to remix one of the most remixed songs here. When you are not able to login, don't click on the 'click here to submit an entry' button, but click on the 'you are not logged in' button on the right top of the screen. 14. It's results time. The votes are in. Total number of mixes - 11 Total number of votes - 11 Maximum Score - 36. Toilet Goat and Xsquader got 3 points, they get the last place wooden spoon. Obtuse and Inrade received 4 points and tied for eight place. Zerothemaster received one second place, enough to end seventh with 5 points. Chroxic and Evktalo got 6 points, they both end at the fifth place. Dj Mokram received 11 points, it was close for the third place, but it is a fourth place. Beckett007 knows how to win a PRC, but this time 12 points is only enough for third place. Gario received 13 points, it is enough for a second place, but only the half of the required points to win. And PRC's 199 winner is Nutritious with 26 points!! Congratulations Nutritious. You got many votes and are the winner with a good difference. Nutritious, you may select the source for PRC201. 15. I sended him a PM but got no response. Maybe I should try again. The winner may select the source for PRC201, I forgot to edit that line. PRC200 will be a little special edition. PRC201 will have 2 sources, the winner of PRC200 also may select a song for that. This means everyone can participate in PRC200. When a remixer wins both PRC199 and PRC200 he may submit two sources if he wants.

  17. 5 Entries already and 4 days left. I don't remember when that happened before. Still 4 days left, so there's more than enough time to start and finish a song.
  18. It works fine already. Probably it was only down for a short period. Keep the mixes coming.
  19. It looks like ThaSauce is down at the moment. I hope it will be up soon.
  20. The People's Remix Competition 199 PRCv8-17 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! We're almost nearing PRC 200 already. I planned something special and different for that round, so the winner of this PRC will select the source for PRC201, the winner of PRC200 also selects a source for that. Last round ended with two songs, and three votes. SubNormal J3 was the winner, with one point more as his competitor Zerothemaster. SubNormal J3 selected the source for this round: I'm not very familiar with PRC's history, but judging by the quality of Beckett007's last winning entry, my victory is hardly comparable to other winning tracks. I hope I haven't caused PRC to jump the shark during season 8. Thanks for the votes, regardless. For PRC 199, I've chosen a track from the popular 90's adventure shooter Deus Ex. The track is "UNATCO," referring to the command center for the said organization. It has relatively simple chords and should be fun to rearrange. Frankly, I'm not sure how accurate the MIDI is, but it should be easy to pick out the notes from the YouTube video. Hehe. Actually Deus Ex came out in 2000. My bad.
