Joe Redifer Posted April 5, 2002 Posted April 5, 2002 Game: Xenogears Remixer: DJ Meiji Mix title: Koiji na Shi no Genchou I don't think there is too much going on with this remix. It does hold potential in quite a few areas, but unfortunately never quite comes together. Ending sounds cut off.
orkybash Posted April 6, 2002 Posted April 6, 2002 Not the best mix I've heard, but there's not much to complain about, either. Could have been developed a bit more, as Joe said. But as it is, I think this works. *Votes yes*
Saunders Posted April 7, 2002 Posted April 7, 2002 Hmm, really not liking the way it sounds honestly. Mustn't let personal tastes cloud judgement! Drum work sounds kinda plain. Sounds like there could have been more put into it. The melody and string work sounds good, but to me doesn't fit with the drums. And regardless of whether it's intentional or not that steady popping/ticking sound in the background is annoying the piss out of me. Arg, just when I thought it was bad enough to think, "No," the strings and melody come back. Hmm, well I don't like the style itself. But I don't think there's too much wrong with it that it doesn't deserve to be posted.
Malcos Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 I might have liked more on the drum beat, but I liked the string work, could have done with more variety. The pitch bending click noise is a bit annoying, and the way it cuts off! But I did like the intro, and the quality of it was quite good, plus it has a hardcore feel to it. Erm, yes.
Disco Dan Posted April 10, 2002 Posted April 10, 2002 Not sure what you all are complaining about. Maybe I'm listening to a different song than the rest of you, but I can't hear anything WRONG with it. Subjectively, I might say there's something wrong with it, but see, I haven't heard the original. Anyway, I like what I hear. It seems solidly done, and I haven't noticed any wrong notes. It goes nicely from beginning to end, and the layers are done well. I don't know, sounds good to me. I'm a givin it a yessa. DC
