I'm not a big fan of those organs in the beginning, either. They're too "noticable". The flute and tubular bells sound empty and lacking. If anything, I would expect the ambience to be more stereographic. Give it some pan delay. That'd improve this mix a great deal. NO
Disco Dan Posted January 27, 2003 Posted January 27, 2003 Raw. Harmonies are bizarre. Almost Gregorian, with overuse of fifths. Don't know what to think about this. Sounds really raw, and obviously uses samples. I'd apply more effects, but I'm torn here. But the emptiness does sort of outweigh it here. It's just... raw. Too raw. NO D
Malcos Posted January 27, 2003 Posted January 27, 2003 Ambience? This mix could have been a whole lot more ambient with the addition of one thing - REVERB! This mix needs it badly, a stereo reverb to give the mix some space. Everything sounds dry, it's like a dehydrated tounge. NO
