kitty
Here's a post on another site containing information pertaining to your problem: Most people seem to have been unaffected on here, but I've had a VERY frustrating few hours sorting this, so thought I'd put up the typical issues and suggested solutions.NB - a lot of the searching I did was for the Linksys WRT54G, but these seem to be generic. Router channel Fixed for a lot of people by changing to 1 or 11. Firewall Try turning off - if this helps you can always used DMZ on your router. Static IP Seems to have helped a lot of people using static IP rather than DHCP. DNS Servers Setting these to static has sorted a lot of people out. If you have a combi modem and router, go to start > run on your PC, type cmd (enter) to bring up your DOS command line. Type ipconfig /all to bring up your details, the DNS details are at the bottom here. Put those in your Wii, off you pootle. NB - and it's a big one as this is where I fell down. IF YOU HAVE A SEPARATE MODEM AND ROUTER you will need to go to your router and use the DNS servers from there, they WILL differ from the ones on your router. Hence why I just wasted four hours of my life
Final_metroid
I read that Verizon doesn't have Wii functionality, can anyone else verify this?
Effef
I read that Verizon doesn't have Wii functionality, can anyone else verify this? You mean like verizon DSL or Cable? That wouldn't have anything to do with it, this is likely a problem with your router.

I didn't think companies required you to do that anymore.
