kitty
There are a couple of options for you. If you're just uploading a couple files, file sharing sites like www.rapidshare.com and www.megaupload.com would be for you. Though you have to keep track of the download links they gave you. If you're uploading more than that, then you can get some webhosting from a company. Depending on how much you want to upload (i.e. file sizes), you can get free webhosting that provides small amounts of webspace (i.e. 100mb) or you can pay for webhosting that gives you several gigs of space. Since you're just looking for a place to upload things, you can get a cheapo webhosting service that has FTP service (most if not all do) for a few dollars a month. FTP is just assigning a user name and a password to a directory on your website (sorta). Just how you go about this will be different depending on the control panel you get with your website, but it's very simple and easy to figure out when you're looking at it. Someone else here might be able to explain it better than me.

Nutritious
skydrive.live.com Seriously. Though it's microsoft, lots of space, can hold big files & lets users browse the folders you set as public. And, best part, free.
