LuketheXjesse
What kind of recording and mixing equipment do most remixers use and how much money would I need for this kind of stuff?
Kanthos
The answer is here.
Geoffrey Taucer
There isn't really a straight up answer to that question, but this would be a great place to start. EDIT: and more specifically, this
LuketheXjesse
Okay, cool. This is mostly software, right? How about hardware wise? (or did I miss something?)
LuketheXjesse
Er, forget I asked, I already checked that first link (unless you've got something in mind) Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!
Nutritious
Okay, cool. This is mostly software, right? How about hardware wise? (or did I miss something?) The hardware needed depends on what you're trying to do. Do you play a live instrument or keyboard? Do you sing and need to record vocals? If not, there's probably no real need at this point for additional hardware besides your computer (except maybe a decent pair of monitoring headphones). Kanthos
Yeah, if you tell us what your skills are and what kind of computer you have (speed, memory, dual core or not, and OS), people can give reasonable recommendations.
LuketheXjesse
Oh, yes, you can plug your instrument into your computer, can't you? I completely forgot this. A friend of mine has something for that (though I'll probably still need one of my own). Okay, thanks.
LuketheXjesse
Well, memory DEFINETLY is not a problem. OS is XP which I guess is good. Dad got the computer extra Ram so the speed's probably good too. Beats me what Dual core is though
