djpretzel
Email sub file Shatterhand Refinery.mp3 -djp Dear OC Remix jury member: The attached MP3 is another remix from NES Shatterhand(Solebrain)-the PogoBorgs Refinery stage tune (Area 2 ). I suggest the title Cyber Punch 2 as the name of the remix. On the submission guidelines page it say that we should allow at least a week between submission, so I did. I hope you like this one. My MP3’s are under 2 or maximum 3 megs, because Yahoo! Mail won’t let me attach bigger files anyway, so I won’t burden your bandwidth. Thank you very much, Hakhverdian. Vig
i get the impression that this is mostly the original with drums. the vocal thing is cool, but it isnt enough to salvage the mix. does someone know how similar this is to the original? other problems: the synths all sound like they're straight from the NES. works sometimes, but you shouldnt rely on NES sounds for your whole mix. it also doesnt develop...maintains the same dynamic level thru the whole thing, and it's too short. Protricity
Way to much reliance on drumloops and vocal clips. Its pretty much note for the note with the original.(check out shatterhand.nsf 3/13) and way too short. Work on variation, your own drums, and more arrangement/length. Malcos
This was just a drumloop over the orginal, and you know we don't do that kinda thing here. It seemed like there were no original ideas in this at all, nothing from the remixer's mind. NO
Digital Coma
Even if this was an original composition, it wouldn't fly just because of that repetitious drumloop. The faint distorted breakbeat is a sore placeholder for a better accompaniment. Vocal bridge may have worked if an expansion of the theme followed. Annoyingly lazy.
