Protricity Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 HOLY CRAP This is awesome. 3 excellent remixes judged in a row. I'm all pumped now. This is just top notch, but should have been twice as long. Still, its completely solid starting and beginning so I have no problem giving it a YES
GrayLightning Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Oh yes, this is a good one. I agree this is kind of short. However, unlike some of our rejected short mixes, this is able to express its ideas in a short span. Samples are kind of fake at times, especially the brass. Otherwise all solid in that department. Quality arrangement and instrument usage throughtout. The middle soft section with the harp and glockenspiel is particularly strong. I'd consider this a primer for those wanting to get into traditional orchestra on how to do it right. Good stuff. YES
Vig Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 I agree with what has been said. a lot is expressed here, the arrangement is very good, if the samples arent great. YES
Digital Coma Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Dynamics plus acoustic instrumentation equal lively, and lively this arrangement be. Effective woodwinds, grandiose architecture, and elements of surprise (1:18) all make for warm music. The exposed brass isn't convincing at all, but it rarely ever is synthesized, so may as well ignore that and enjoy the rest. NSF transcribed to showy orchestral is always [pro-Disney adjective]. YES
