Meteo Xavier
The world's neediest man returns for another question regarding a complication for a service he did not think was going to be as complex as it is. I got AVIs. I want to watch them on my DVD player. Nero 6 only burns .nob, .ifo and .bup. I got VirtualDubMod 1.5.10 etc. and the required DIVX version, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do from there. I've looked through software and I can't say I can find anything fully trustworthy. I run XP. So here I go, begging the internet to help me again. How do I do this? Thanks.
m68030
What DVD player do you have? A Divx player is dirt cheap now.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882641155 Pick up something like this, dump straight Divx's to a DVD, and you've got like 5-6 movies on a single disk. m68030
Also there's this bit of software: http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html http://www.erightsoft.info/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe It converts pretty much anything to anything.. I'm pretty sure you can get it to dump .VOBs for you. But really do yourself a favor and buy a nice divx player.
jmr
Does Nero 6 include Nero Vision? If so, you can use that to convert your DivX files to a DVD-video compliant format. Otherwise, try avi2dvd. It's a pretty straightforward program, and seems to work well. Here's a guide if you need it. edit: but yeah, get a DivX-compatible player and save yourself from the headache of converting your videos. phill
This would be one of the reasons I got my PS3, none of the pesky conversions between formats whey playing movies/tv. Oh and the games, but alot of it was the movies and such.
