djpretzel Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Name to credit to: MC and Blak_Omen Email: mc@uchicago.edu and darketernal_13@hotmail.com Website: http://www.soundclick.com/blakomen There's info in the id3 tag on the site and I'll just say now: Originally arranged by me, then rearranged and sequenced by MC. Basically a remix of a remix. ^^" Enjoy. ___BLAK OMEN___
Protricity Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 wow... excellent. Everything I look for in a remix. Its all there. The judges tend to have higher standards for piano mixes since our piano-arrangement population at OCR is so damned good. This song does not wane in the presence of the others. Its well done. Good job. YES
Vig Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 There is very little doubt in anybody's mind that MC is the Piano Man. He doesnt dissapoint in this strong classical remix, and while the style might not be for everyone, the talent and creativity involved are undeniable. However, I also feel that this mix is currently without an acceptable ending; there is very little resolution or decrescendo. The peak is very short and perhaps underdeveloped, and then it dies. Also, when you play this mix loudly and on good speakers the piano sounds quite synthesized. I know this is nitpicking, but with a performance like this it is a shame to hear a patch that doesnt do the player justice. YES
Digital Coma Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 The patch is a little weak, the arrangement is great. I'd much rather have it this way than the other way around. YES
GrayLightning Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 I've heard this throughout its wip stages and final stages. I liked it back then and like it just as well now. Very good composition by BO, and very good sequencing by MC. Congratulations gentlemen. MC, nice work on the buzz. YES
