Dafydd
Running Vista, there's a folder on my computer that I can change the read-only settings for but they keep resetting themselves, effectively meaning I can't make any changes to the folder. This includes changing, renaming, adding or removing files. What do I do?

Dafydd
It's a folder in the Program Files folder. Does it matter?
phill
It could yes, perhaps you have malware running in the background that uses/used the folder. The more information, the less likley people are going to be shooting off random ideas. It's a sex game isn't it, desktop girls maybe? Dafydd
Actually, it's "Maple 12". That said, it's possible it contains malware. I'll run a virus scan and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion. If that doesn't do it, I'll try a boot disk and replace the file I'm trying to replace from there.
phill
Also, you can use unlocker to determine which process/service is perventing you from replacing the file. http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
