I don't find the pieces that rough, they're nice and crisp but personally I'd like to hear a classy touch of reverb.

Sky Swimmers is really nice to listen to, very relaxing and has a nice progression. I think the beat is too repetitive, and could do with some variety like drum fills or slight variation on the hats/kick/snare. Your bass line is rhythmic enough to create some fun progressions, it could be a little bassier though in the low frequencies. Though yknow what leaving it on repeat the quirks don't bother me much. Really reminds me of something I've played on the Genesis but I can't nail it, possibly something from Vectorman. I also thought the guitar was a nice choice, the sample not great but it felt very comfortably placed. I really enjoy this, great chords, nice melody.

I'm The One Runnin' is a little loud, audacity is showing it clipping over 0Db, so you might want to limit the master channel or something. I get a "panic" vibe from the piece, though too charming to be threatening lol. After listening I got the impression that it missed something, like it should need a subtle but noticeable melody. Seriously check out the soundtrack to "Kid Klown in Crazy Chase" for the SNES, that's the first thing that came to mind.

I think you're really good, I think you can improve a whole lot with a dash more variety and a sprinkle more on the production. I'll definately listen to Sky Swimmer more often though :).

Ha I'm glad you mention Sky Swimmer sounds like something from a genesis game, because I sorta felt that vibe listening to my piece too. Though I wouldn't imagine its from Vectorman only because I have never played the game... I know, how could I not have played vectorman!

Yeah I am trying to get my hands on Superior Drummer 2.0 at the nearest Guitar Center but they unfortunately didn't have copies, so I am waiting for them to get a new shipment on the software. The beats I'm supplied with just have no dice.

The bass lines do need touching, I thought of plugging in my Fender and Jam some Funk Slapping but all of my recording gear is pretty cheap. I tend to get a hissing sound through the Input everytime I plug in my bass.

I'm glad you enjoyed Sky Swimmer, I was afraid it would sound too much like porn music as some of my friends would call it...

Hah! Porn music, yeah I've been there, you put so much work in only for your friends to say they imagine ebony sluts getting it on. Come to mention I guess I can imagine it in a sort of sci-fi setting in a tasty movie...

I can't even remember Vectorman's music so I don't know why I mentioned it. As for the drums I think I've heard them somewhere before...I'm taking a wild guess but I don't suppose they are FL's loops done in the fruity slicer? In any case even with that and more soundfont kits etc you can layer and produce the sound into a really solid and unique percussion instrument. Even with the software I use I tend to layer the high quality sounds to get slick new samples.

I know what you mean about the fuzzy line input, it's hard to deal with but it can be worked. I don't know if you've used any sound editing software such as Adobe Audition but you can edit the wav recording pretty decently enough to master into the final track.

You guessed correctly on the Slicer, honestly I can't make beats, I always rely on the developer's presets.

I never have used Adobe's Audition. Does Adobe offer a trial on the software? I'd imagine they do.
