help with a guitar distortion

Hi guys, have you ever heard MegaMan Brothers of Flame album? Its a real good megaman x remix album by some japs that i searched all web and didnt found their website. (

please hear this song from flame stag from megaman x2, being more precisely at 2:01 mins that starts a solo and the distortion is easier to hear). I would like to know if you have a clue about what distortion is used in this song (can be a similar to) and other song that uses a similar is from super street fighter 2 turbo, guile's theme (

The guitar isn't real, it's sampled / synthesized. No idea what specific samples they used, but you could probably get a decent start using something like the guitar sample in SNES SPC soundfont on Darkesword's site and running it through some effects.
