mickomoo
I know I should preferably use real guitars, but for now I'm kinda stuck with vsts. Anyone know how I could make the best of them. I have specifically have used this and this vst, and I tried NI electric guitars that came with kontakt 4. I have Komplete 6 so I have Guitar Rig 4, as well as some free amp/pre-amp vst effects I downloaded. The guitars in the vids don't sound that bad, but idk what effects were used in order to get those sounds from the vsts.
GarretGraves
Chances are, they used parametric EQ and maybe delay and/or reverb. Those are the most common used on guitar tracks. At least I think so. It's what I use all the time.
mickomoo
Hmm, in general I can't get the vst at all to sound good. What ranges are most dynamic for a distorted guitar?
dannthr
Just ask Andreas what his settings were--most sample devs are more than willing to help out their customers in these sorts of situations.
