Josh_Barron
Hello everyone! My name is Josh Barron (arranger of the Unofficial Kingdom Hearts Piano Collection and contributor to Xenogears Light). I'm looking for arrangers to help collaborate on arranging music to help raise money for those affected by the tsunami in Japan. The music on this project can be any piece of japanese music within the following genres: video game, anime, and film. The track is totally up to the arranger; however, the parameters are that you must arrange the piece using stringed instruments (including piano) AND the styles in which you may write must be of an orchestral nature. You are not limited to strictly classical music as you may write a jazzy arrangement for strings and piano. Here is the kicker: All arrangements must be submitted before April 15th, 2011 and I will select the ones I wish to include on the project. This project is not strictly limited to OCR members as this is something that anyone and everyone can contribute. I hope to hear from some of you and I look forward to working with all that help. Together we all can try to make a difference and possibly turn the tide of a tragedy. If you are wanting to jump on board please post here expressing as such. For completed arrangements, send both the sheet music (Score and individual parts in PDF) and an audio file of some kind to this e-mail (composer_joshbarron@hotmail.com). Make sure your subject title includes this: Music for Relief Submission Thank you all and I feel that this project will become something great! Chernabogue
Quick question: are we only limited to stringed instruments or can we use other types of instruments too? Just wondering because I started working on my track.
Nabeel Ansari
I wish I could do this, but I can't write sheet music for an actual string section or orchestra.
