THe "whiiiiiiiuuuuuuuu" thingys in the beginning are a bit much, but I'm actually digging this! Not a lot of deviation until halfway though. If I were you, I'd work on making it a bit fuller because right now it seems it's a bit on repeat after the first half. Try to stick to begin - middle - plot - end, of which you're missing the plot right now. You're "missing" something overall anyway, I just can't put my finger on it what that is...

Has great potential, though a judge might be better to tell you what goes wrong where

seconded on the "whiiuuuuu" repetition (remove it from every other measure at least) but man , it's lovely. my main issue is that the overall sound needs more punch (mainly drums and bass). Plus the lead is very very weak. Not only needs to be replaced but also apply a bit of reverb to it. And yes, the source is way too small to NOT improvise.

Great stuff, looking forward to a more polished version.
