Ravich Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend some organizations that would be a good starting point for networking with people involved in game development but particularly the audio/music side of things. I’m looking primarily for local opportunities, although anything works as a starting point. I’m based in Oregon, by the way, so Portland is great if possible Quote
Moomba Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 If you're interested in video game audio in particular, the Game Audio Network Guild is a very friendly community of industry professionals, students and apprentices in the field. Worth checking out at the very least! Quote
dannthr Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Your GOTO places starting out will be GANG and the IGDA, which is the International Game Developers Association. These will be great starting resources for networking. Otherwise, online--so many people online--so many communities online. Gamedev.net is a central location online for game developers of all walks of disciplines--check it out! Quote
