I really like how that moving line harmonizes with the original composition in the beginning. And the unresolved tones at the end work nicely together... they elicit a sense of hopeful uncertainty.

The samples themselves leave a little to be desired, and there's plenty left to do in terms of forming a complete song and all that. But this is a nice start.
