Yume
Hello everyone Well, I'm new here, interested in remixing and an absolute newb... that's just in advance I hope I can put all my current questions together, cause they're not all software related. I started with Fruity Loops, since it was recommended by many people here. Now I'm wondering, if FL Sudio is all I have to learn or if it's just the Basic Software. In my newbish eyes, it seems very complex (not that I understand everything yet). Then... I was wondering how to get the original melody of VG Track. Do I have to get the scores (maybe per midi file)? Now the last one... Is OCR accepting ReMixes done with FL Studio? Not that I already think about submitting anything in my early stages. Before that, I have to gather a large ammount of experience and knowledge... I think. I'm sorry if those questions were already answered in other topics (I've already read the stickys). Everything is confusing me atm... since it's such a massive materia and I've spended like the entire day on basic tutorials. Well.. it's just the start.. so nevermind. FL is one of many sequencing tools that may or may not be right for you. Check with your doctor before you begin usage. Seriously though, what do you mean by "Basic Software"? From my knowledge of it, if you make use of the VST capabilities of FL, it's just as powerful of a tool as any other. The idea of FL as a "beginner tool" is a flawed one. In my newbish eyes, it seems very complex (not that I understand everything yet). You'll learn with time and experience. Then... I was wondering how to get the original melody of VG Track. Do I have to get the scores (maybe per midi file)? You can rip the score from a midi, but OCR doesn't look too kindly at that. It's preferred (nay, enforced) that you play or write the notes out by yourself, as opposed to ripping someone elses work. MIDI rips are not accepted on OCR Now the last one... The idea of FL as a "beginner tool" is a flawed one. Oh well, I should withdraw the "Basic Software". I just designated it that way, cause I've read, that it's one of the easiest ways for beginners, to learn composing/remixing. Gomen I havent worked with VST yet, but I've also read that those plugins make FL Studio more powerful. You'll learn with time and experience. *Stamina level up* ou can rip the score from a midi, but OCR doesn't look too kindly at that. It's preferred (nay, enforced) that you play or write the notes out by yourself, as opposed to ripping someone elses work. MIDI rips are not accepted on OCR Hm.. My cousin can probably help me with notes. He already worked on C64 with trackers and SID chip music. Gonna ask him about it I'm gonna check those ReMix's out... Anyway... Now I know, that there's the possibility, to remix in OCR niveau, once I've mastered FL Studio. Another stamina bump. Thank you Yume
