Schematist
This track was heavily influenced by the works of Yuzo Koshiro. I really loved his Etrian Odyssey IV soundtrack and I somewhat tried to mimic parts of his style to create this. Hope you guys enjoy
Necrox
The fadeout was a bit abrupt after the drum fill at the end, but the song was decent as a whole. I liked the relaxed tone and I felt the second synth helped to achieve that while the first synth created the "battle" atmosphere. I think the whole laid-back battle theme idea is cool. Schematist
Thanks for the heads up on the fade. That definitely was too sudden. But Thanks for the kindness and analysis. I am a big fan of the battle themes that aren't quite as epic but still have a nice edge to them.
Necrox
No problem at all; I like giving feedback on originals because it seems like nobody gives the music in this part of the forums the chance it deserves (or at least feedback isn't given). Aeson
I enjoyed listening to this one. I like the relative smoothness of it, plus it isn't extremely dark like the stuff I normally like. Also, the 'happiness' I think can be rather difficult to achieve while keeping the piece suitable for a battle theme. You've done a good job at doing this. Keep up the good work. Schematist
Much appreciated Aeson! I want to get better at writing darker battle themes as well but that brighter feel is what I tend to gravitate to. Not exactly sure why. thanks again.
