Sotch
So I have just recently gotten FL Studio 7 and installed it on my computer. My problem is that whenever i go to import a Midi file (Ive tried some from www.vgmusic.com) it loads up and it decodes it (right terms). Aka, it maps out all the different parts to the song, but there is no audio. The rest of the program works, like when I made my own sample, it plays fine, but whenever I try to open a midi file, it dosent seem to work. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it?
avaris
Just take some samples or whatever and throw them onto the channels with the midi notes...whamo sound! The reason there is no sound is bc when u import a midi it is a Midi Out. There's nothing wrong, just replace the midi out with sample/synths/whatever you want to get the sound. The Unsung Plumber
For future reference, all Fl Studio questions should be directed here I must admit, when I first tried FL, I had the same problem.
Xerol Oplan
You can also make it use your system's synthesizer (or an external midi device, if you have one connected) for MIDI Out channels. Hit F10, pick the device you want to use (in the top box) and set it to port 0 (which is the default for midi out channels).
