CarnCarby
Usually stuff like this pops up in this forum, but I just noticed there's a group buy going for all three levels of EW's Symphonic Orchestra, and I couldn't find a post about it here. Anywho, only a week to go, but if you're interested... http://www.soundsonline.com/Classical-Orchestral-c-3.html
Justus
Unfortunately, I already own QLSO Pro Gold XP, and I don't have the 8 separate computers EastWest recommends for running Platinum (though admittedly, that was written back when a Barton-core Athlon or a high-end Prescott P4 was a beast, and before dual-core got huge). tgfoo
Just so you know, the group buy is only for the Pro XP expansion and you need the original library to use it.
zircon
Yeah, but it is definitely worth it. Gold + Gold XP Pro combined do have ALL instruments + articulations that Platinum has. The only difference is 16bit vs 24 bit, and less mic positions. However, the stage mic positions are probably the most-used anyway, and you can always edit out the release tails to customize the reverb. I got in on this group buy and it was well worth it.
