Katramari Damacy synth voice

Hi, I'm new here. Does anybody here know how the re-create that synth-voice sound from the fugues in the Katamari soundtracks? It's so cheesy, I love it!

Sounds like a speech synthesizer. In the case of Fugue #7777 (assuming that you're talking about the OST), it'd be easier to just sample a few notes with the attacks (first part of the sample - the "d" in "doo") and let the rest loop. Much easier to play than coding the instructions as it's usually done .

Well, that was my first instinct too, but it's too hard to cut a clean sample because of the reverb. I'll see if I can track down a VSTi speech synth from KVR.

I have no idea what songs you're talking about, but it's probably a vocoder (＾∇＾)

OMFG, scott. You've never heard the Katamari Damacy soundtrack? You should be damn well ashamed. It's definitely not a vocoder. It sounds more like Vocal Writer, but unfortunately for 98% of the internets, Vocal Writer is only on mac.
