snazzypadgett
I'm thinking about getting some Rokit 5 studio monitors--I just don't know how I'll hook them up to my eMac 1.42 ghz model comp. The mac only has one 1/8" input--what do I need to connect a pair of monitors for stereo output? Trying to keep away from a complete audio interface, as I only work with midi... SenPi
umm.. plug it in to the computer? (get a 1/4" to 1/8" converter) something like this I'm assuming
snazzypadgett
yes, but won't that just give me two mono speakers?
SnappleMan
yes, but won't that just give me two mono speakers? You get a Y cable. Stereo Phono -> 2 Male RCA.
SnappleMan
http://www.audiogear.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?key=Adpt2RcmMsm&preadd=action that one Actually, that's not good, because you don't have enough length. Your best bet is to get a combination of cables. First, get this: http://www.audiogear.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?key=Adpt2RcfMsm&preadd=action And then you get this: http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSCPR20 The Rokits take a 1/4" input, so this is the best option aside from getting a mixer.
