Your thoughts on the Ardour digital worksation

I've seen Ardour and it tries to be a complete DAW like some of the pro software. Has anyone gotten a chance to use it for long? How easy is it to perform tasks compared to say, Cubase or Live?

I put linux on my dad's computer and tried it but I really miss my VSTs. They have linux VSTs too but not as many. For free though, it is pretty excellent and fully capable of making something awesome.
