anosou
Okay, I'm totally gay for Folk music. Really. Right now I'm working at my original EP that's leaning against a Folk/Chip sound. Now, I'm using some not-so-good instrument samples in Reason. What I'd really want is some sweet multisampled instruments (preferably in NN-XT format, but it could be wavs that I could map myself). Ideas? I especially like Celtic and Nordic folk music btw. (free ones is okay too ;P) Cheers!

avaris
For Reason Refills here is what I know of: http://www.samples4.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=92 http://www.bigfishaudio.com/4DCGI/detail.html?350 http://www.sonicreality.com/viewDetails.php?ProductID=187 I own the Sonic Reality one. I can let you Demo it at Magfest. I also own QL Rare which contains some of the instruments in EWQL Ra. Those sounds are absolutely amazing. Although it really sucks NNXT can't play GIGA format. Although maybe just maybe you could buy Akai samples and use Reload to change them into NNXT format? http://www.soundsonline.com/ProSamples-Vol-52-World-Instruments-2-pr-PS52.html
anosou
Thanks for the links mate! Going to check 'em out when I get home from school. I've been thinking of this also: http://www.soundpropulsion.com/SP%20FX%20%20scand%20roots%20vol1.htm for that swedish flavour. There's a demo coming with Reason 3 so I know I like what I've heard. check out the audio demos

avaris
How do you use QL Rare dude? I use it with Kontakt2 in Live. Also I got the demo for Cd Xtract and converted a bunch of the patches into NN-XT format. Although bc of the demo I can't rip any of the individual key switches into NN-XT format. I can only do the first key switch. IMO it'd be really cool if they updated the NN-XT to play GIGA or .nki files. And allow for it to support key switching. Although you can set up key switching in a combinator so it's really no big deal.
