Saunders Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 ok, you told me to wait until the flood came through and i did, i even waited a couple days because i know you must be busy with all the submissions that did make it. But yeah, i sent this about a month and a half ago and havent seen anything about it, so i guess it was lost. If you dont want to take this as a lost submission thats fine, i will wait longer and see if it pops up, but i dont think it will. Also, i waited a long time before submitting something because i didnt want to waist the judges time with a crappy remix, so i sent my best. heres the link the mix is titled "SPIN!" and its a sort of house to rock remix. I dont really know what to say about it except i had infact never planned on having guitars in it. Anyways, enjoy. Saunders Posted November 30, 2002 Author Posted November 30, 2002 Well, the arrangement doesn't seem too bad, although I'm not sure if that's the original that makes me say that or what. The samples are icky, one of them is downright godawful, it sounds like a dying cat. Better samples could yield a more agreeable result, but the way it is now, it's a no, from me at least. Vote: No
Protricity Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 That flange is pretty bad, I would never see justification in using flange over the melody. Vibrato kinda eaks me out. The drums seem weak. I like the varation on the melody, but the use of flange and vibrato guitar ruined it for me NO

Malcos Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 The flanger would be ok, but it lasted for the duration of the whole mix, by which time it had become annoying. In addition, the guitar sample was so odd it took me time to realise that it was meant to be a guitar. NO
