DarkeSword Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Lately some forum bots have taken to sending out mass PMs, claiming to be forum administrators and saying that we've noticed a virus on your computer and that if you don't do an online check we'll contact your ISP, remove your account, or some other such nonsense. Please be advised: OCR forum software does not have the capability to run a virus scan on your computer. OCR staff members will never contact you via PM asking you to download software in order to run a virus scan. OCR staff members will never ask for your password. The the most recent offending account has been purged from the forums. If you receive a suspicious PM, quote it and report it in the spammer thread. Thank you.
