  1. Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the adaptation. The length of the track was limited due to the contest's requirements, and the main focus was to keep the main melody almost identical to the original game's tune. However, I've been considering creating a longer version with more variations. Regarding the mixing and mastering, it's true that it can be challenging. I tried using an online mastering tool this time, and in Cubase, I only adjusted the volume levels of individual instruments. I'll definitely try your suggestions and work on improving the mix and master. Thanks for the advice! This style of music is quite new for me, and I don't listen to it much either. That's why I'm especially happy that both the audience and you enjoyed it! If I find some time this summer, I'll make some modifications and try to create a more refined version. Thanks again for your support and constructive feedback!

  2. Hi All, I'm posting up this request because this is a game that really does deserve some remixing love. I'm guessing that the main reason Klonoa hasn't been featured on OCR yet is the relatively cult nature of the game, so I'm hoping to inspire people to have a listen to the soundtrack and see what they can come up with, or maybe spur some old memories for people who have played it when they were young but since forgotten. The OST has a mix of tribal/ new age instrumentation and orchestral styles, but I imagine some tracks could easily work with a lot of different styles. I've tried my hand at it myself, but really don't have the talent to get anywhere with it. I'm not asking for any particular track or style, there's so much that could be done with it, but I'll list a few of my favourites to get people started: Cursed Pamela - A wonderfully dramatic boss theme with a strong core melody. Count Three - A new age track with a lot of room for layering and riffs. Baladium's Drive - Another boss theme, this time with excellent new age instrumentation. I'm not too sure what you could do with it, but it's my favourite track of the OST. Untamed Heart - A heavily reflective and melodic track, I can definitely see it making something chill or sorrowful. Façade and Blade - Yet another boss theme, there's a strong melody and a lot of room for personal style to be injected into this one. Red Heat Coronia - A much heavier new age, lot's of opportunity to make something darkly mysterious. And here's a link to the OST on YouTube. I'm pretty sure that it's got every track on there. Of course there's also Klonoa 2, some great tracks there too, but less overall quality and not as nostalgic for me personally. Thanks for checking this out, and I hope to see some Klonoa turn up on the site!
