  1. Just to give you fair warning, proper spelling and grammar go a long ways around here. Like I said in my post above, people get flamed whenever they post with bad spelling and grammar. Of course, a few typos are bound to happen. Those are no big deal. Just try to avoid using AIM/leet speak and don't forget to use that shift key and you'll do fine.

Yep. One of the things people tend to forget is that it's a forum, not a chatroom. You've got plenty of time to come up with a response and type it out correctly, it's never a matter of seconds.

  2. I guess I'll introduce myself.

    Name: Anna

    Known as: Swishy

    Location: S.C

Interests: Cosplay, Japan, anime, video games, stuff like that.

    I guess that's it :]

Just one tip: Should you ever head into Unmod, don't use the color or size tags for all your posts. It's a way to make yourself stand out, but some members are annoyed by it.

Anyways, welcome to all the new people! If you post anywhere, make sure you behave or you'll have to face me and the other mods :P.

  3. Did you tell him it's "Unleash"?

Totally schooled on English by a Dutch guy.

Happens almost daily. It's sad that a foreigner speaks better English than an American.

It might be even sadder if I added that my English is on par with or better than my Dutch half the time.

  4. Had a few minutes.... walla!

    Neato.gif

    Ow.

    WAY too much blurriness :(.

Someone would have to redraw it in a neato vector format for it to work well, blurry pixels don't look nice on t-shirts(Only regular, sharp, large ones do)

And the text isn't centered in the balloon. Could do with a better font too.

  5. Why isn't this working? For crying out loud, I've uploaded the freakING image, I can see it spectacularly on photobucket. Dude, I've done this many a time before, but something's awry. The only thing done differently is that the file is a .BMP...don't tell me that's the difference.

    bkgded2.bmp

    Hmmm...assistance for the idiot??

Fairly simple. Switch to a different filetype, as these forums only support .jpg, .png and .gif. If you're stuck with Paint on XP, save the file as .png because the jpg compression it does is fucking horrible.

  6. Slight problem: Your latest update kinda removed VGDJ 7 from the Podcast list on iTunes :(.

    I still see it.

I've got it set to check for new while deleting older ones here. Maybe it's something in my settings, but ep 7 doesn't show up in the list of older shows.

  7. Anyways, looks like you guys also got added to the Podcast directory over at iTunes, and all older episodes and little trailers can be picked up as well.

    HOly crap FINALLY! YAY!

    YAY!

Will this bring new OCR members? We shall see.. Also what are we categorized in? Something relevant I hope..

As for Darke talking too much: You only get a project once in a blue moon, so get it all out of your system. I'd say it was pretty thorough and informative. Tho your mic is quite noisy, I couldn't really EQ it too much without losing your voice. Anyhow, good stuff..

And a note to Aurora, if the OCR links are working now, should you not remove the disclaimer from the show notes? Or leave it in there for history sake, or something..

It's in Music, although it only shows up in searches, not in the actual directory yet for some reason. Searching for "VGDJ" or "Remix" gives it as result.

  8. You can also drag n' drop the the iTunes ready link directly from your browser to the podcasts section of the library. At least if you are using a Mac and browsing with Safari.

Works on a PC running XP, iTunes and Firefox too. I'm pretty sure it's the same for IE and all other browsers.

  9. Something interesting:

The latest version of iTunes has just come out, and it has a new option for Podcasts. You can subscribe to certain Podcasts, and even publish your own with it.

Requirements are an RSS feed of the Podcast, info on the Podcast itself(Including artwork for the Album Art feature), and some extra info not in the feed. It's free to publish one, and the only requirements are that they're in AAC or MP3 format and don't have any copyrighted material or bad language. They can be reviewed before they're published too, and won't be added immediately.

When you subscribe, you'll be notified of updates and can download the file directly through iTunes(adding it to your Library for synching with your iPod too)

More info can be found through iTunes itself, they have a nifty FAQ.

EDIT: I've just been checking the system, quite userfriendly and subscribing just involves clicking a few links. It's all free too, and quite a few Podcasts are already available. Subscribed Podcasts are automatically updated if a newer version is available during your(pre-set) check time.

With the latest iPod software update you also get a new Podcasts entry, which lets you listen to your selection.

  10. Easier option if you run Windows XP: Boot from the XP CD-ROM or the 6 floppy set you can get at bootdisk.com, go into the Recovery Console(Hit R), and type fixmbr.

Tried that, windows crashes to a BSOD if I even connect the messed up HDD now. I tried using the Ultimate Boot Disk which has Bart's PE and tons of free diasnostic tools but they do the same thing, crash to a BSOD with a Plug n Play error. I disabled PNP in BIOS but still crashing. No idea what to do..

I think the error code is 0x000000CA

Turn on SMART in your BIOS and see what it has to say. Also, support.microsoft.com doesn't show anything useful for the CA code. They've got quite a few tips on fixing issues, so check the error code.

  11. You know what you have to do now.... you need to make a RayzaMix to compete with the AuroraMix..

Okay, you asked for it. Wingless, eat my heart out! :P

    http://www.fayhaven.com/RayzaMix.mp3

Oh my god, what have I done? 8O

Awesome. XD Even if you think it didn't turn out, it *did*.

Edit: Rayza, you said your hard drive has no master boot record? If that's the case, you should just be able to boot up on another drive (or a boot disc) and then grab the contents of that drive. That's assuming you don't have a data copy of your drive already.

  12. Dear Aurora: This is a subtle bump to keep our show on the front page. Don't worry, I don't consider you a piece of meat. Your are at least.. Prime rib..

    NONON JE SUIS FILET MIGNON!?!?!?

If mignon means cute in french, which i think it does.

I thought it mean juicy morsel wrapped in bacon.

    Hmmm, bacon...

  13. iTunes is really easy with it. Just add the original WAV file to the library, right-click it and select "Convert to AAC". Only requirement is that you've set up the AAC converter(Edit > Preferences > Importing) and selected it as import device. Can also be used for ripping CDs, and will convert any file iTunes can play back, including MIDI files.

Also, iPods have no problem with MP3, WAV, AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless and a special Audiobook file format.

For the best compatibility, I'd say stick to MP3.

  14. Regarding the ending: Are you trying to not-so subliminally tell us all something, Rayza? :P

    I was horny..

    SECKSUAL HER ASSMINT!

Just scream "RAPE!" or "FIRE!"(More effective in some cities, people won't care as much about rape as about fire) next time he does that ;).
