  1. I'm pretty sure Larry will say something about this issue too but lemme just hook you up. I just called him and he informed me that this weekend won't be a radio show. Not because he doesn't have his laptop yet but more like he has to do his papers and presentations for the finals. He wanted to do one, but he doesn't want to screw up either. So yeah, University has highest priority. I'm thinking about doing a "Crimson Moon" 'backup show' in his place tomorrow at the same time Larry would usually do VG Frequency. But I'm not sure about that yet. However if I do one - no call ins, no 3+ hour show, and I guess even no aftershow unless I sleep the whole day and put the night through (it's 4am for me if Larry usually starts VGF at 10pm). I'll keep you informed of that, so please have an eye on the "Crimson Moon" thread. If I'm not doing a show, I guess I'll just start the shoutcast server and run some backup shows to make the saturday evening at least a little less boring (that's what also Larry recommended me, btw). Larry also informed me of the planned schedule for his next and final shows. Yeah... VGF is slowly coming to an end at WMRE, please keep that in mind. No shows (neither makeup, nor regular ones) will be till the 29th April. After that he will (lemme quote) "do mad shows" till he graduates. Keep an eye on those dates: VGF#58: 30th April (show was moved from 23rd April) VGF#59: 07th May VGF#60: 14th May (FINAL SHOW!) Makeup shows due to Laptop issues: VGF#52, VGF#53, VGF#57 Again... best wishes for Larry's finals at this place.
  2. Well... more like this: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=19 The show runs in a constant downstream of 30k/s (video and audio via DSL). So it's a bit much for dialup. Restreaming with Shoutcast is a bit difficult cause we would need a streaming server for that and we'd have to stream the same time as we get the show. So it's a bit tricky. The only solution at the moment is getting the show by our archives (torrent / single files that Larry posts from time to time), which unfortunately takes a while on dial up. Or... if you have a friend asking for a copy on CD etc. But I'm trying to find a solution for that, so please be patient on that one (no promises!). It's kinda a pity that Larry's PC is broken again. Time's running out on his side and he already has some makeup shows in the queue. Let us just hope everything turns out fine (without additional costs for him - insist on your warranty, Larry!!!). So yeah. EDIT AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Just called Larry and he was really sorry (and of course pissed) that his laptop broke again. He hopes to get it back within the week to get back on the regular schedule. However his finals are also coming up end of April through half of May. So this has a bit higher priority, too (good luck on that from my side, btw). He also said that he'd do the first makup show around the first week of May earliest but then again there're still the finals. I guess all we can do at the moment is wait. We know that VG Frequency is slowly running out on WMRE and we "fanboys" all want our weekly dosis of videogame music on the air, but Larry is also just a human. So yeah. Let us show him our support by being patient and understandingful - and not being a bitch. Oh well, there goes my sloppy english again...

  5. Time for the timetable pimping again for your convenience. Part of the globe is on summer-time (Europe), so the timetable seems a bit off whack. But don't blame me - it's due to the daylight saving time (DST). Tune in at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Here's a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 0:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 4:00am (Sunday, *) Oslo (Norway): 5:00am (Sunday, *) Germany: 5:00am (Sunday, *) Paris (France): 5:00am (Sunday, *) Helsinki (Finland): 6:00am (Sunday, *) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 7:00am (Sunday, *) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 1:00pm (Sunday) * currently observing daylight saving time (DST) Have fun while listening to VGF#55. No timeschedule known yet due to loads of work on Larry's side (university has highest priority!). Some minor bugs in the timetable fixed www.weltzeit.de is still not fixed, you can find a similar detailed timetable (including DST) at www.timeanddate.com/worldclock
  6. VGF44.99 to VGF49 torrent is up and running at 20k/s (at the moment). 1022MB, 6 shows, over 24,5 hours of VGF!!! Seeders wanted and appreciated. kthx You can grab the torrents here, as usual.
  7. Indeed. I took the 2-file torrents down to prepare the VGF#44.99-VGF#49 pack (also with some other goodies). I chose to do this and not smoothly "changing" it to increase the interest in the next torrent batch. Also due to my not so well condition at the moment it'll also take a bit (not as long as Larry though, 48h max) but it'll surely come out. Thanks for the patience and understanding. I still can't give a tentative date for releasing the elder files or the aftershows either, sorry.
  8. For your convenience. Tune in as usual at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Please don't forget that the eastern globe get's a summer-time change at 2am one hour forward to 3am short before the show starts. Not that you're an hour too early. Here's a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 4:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) London (England): 4:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Oslo (Norway): 5:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Germany: 5:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Paris (France): 5:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Helsinki (Finland): 6:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 6:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Moscow (Russia): 7:00am (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Hong Kong (China): 12:00am (Sunday, midday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Tokyo (Japan): 1:00pm (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Sydney (Australia): 3:00pm (Sunday, SUMMER-TIME!!) Have fun while listening to VGF#54. VGF Makeup Shows will be the canceled VGF#52 and VGF#53 shows. A possible schedule is not yet known.
  9. A word from Larry who I had just at the phone right now: "No show today! I'll get my Laptop back on monday, sorry. I'm planning to do some makup shows within the week. If I don't make it, the usual schedule next saturday again." No words about newer shows in mp3 format yet. I guess we just have to be patient about that. Have a nice evening.
  10. If you still need it, there's at least one seeder per pack each. I also started 44.99 & 45 with like 10k/s.
  11. *Sorry Larry, couldn't resist. XD*
  12. The usual riff-raff again for your convenience. Tune in as usual at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Here's a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 3:00am (Sunday) Oslo (Norway): 4:00am (Sunday) Germany: 4:00am (Sunday) Paris (France): 4:00am (Sunday) Helsinki (Finland): 5:00am (Sunday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 6:00am (Sunday) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 2:00pm (Sunday) Have fun while listening to VGF#51. Quick reminders: If you're among the VGF seeders - do not only seed for "one night" only. We need long time seeders. Thanks in advance VGF#48 to VGF#50 is still in editing and not forgotten. The shows will come out chronologially as soon as Larry finds some time finishing them (he said to me that he'll eventually work on them while "Spring Break"). VGF Prior-21 and Aftershows shifted on indefinite time. Need to clear with Larry first which shows to offer, and due to higher priority of other things I can't work on the aftershows. Sorry.
  13. Well if you remember it was the other way around just a couple of shows ago: Icestorm, Power Blackout, Larry trapped at home. Like I said... he's stuffed with work (finals coming up/are already) and he said to me the other day that he'll work on the shows while "Spring Break" latest. So please be patient. Always keep in mind that Larry records and offers the shows voluntarily for us. So other stuff has inevitably higher priority.
  14. Before VGF#50 comes out, VGF#48 V-Day and VGF#49 come first. Larry still needs to do a lot of editing. So please be patient. The shows will come out, it only takes a while. University comes first in this case. Soraya: Tracker works fine... didn't do a thing. (You) Only have to sometimes restart the torrents after a global disconnection if the client doesn't reconnect but sharing is still possible.
  15. It's not about popularity demand. Indeed not! I have an eye on the tracker from time to time spreaded over the day. Sometimes there's someone who wants a newer showpack, somtimes there's one who wants an older one, sometimes there's one who wants all packs at once (which isn't that fair either). I only have a limited amount of bandwidth by myself that I have to share with my family who bitches at every possible moment that I use up the full range even if it's my ISP connection and not theirs. Not to mention that I'm surely not always there to help out. My seeding PC is also my studio PC at the same time. And sometimes I just want to swtich it off or have to work on other material (engineering and mastering for others, own songs, ...), etc. The most sad thing since I started the tracker: Okay... I am the master seeder. But 90% of the finished uploads go to my count alone. Yeah, even though I can only offer 20k/s max (which doesn't mean I "have to" do so) and sometimes have all seeds open. Most of the files offered were from me. Seldom from someone who was so kind helping out. It's not on my side but I think it's more the mentality "I have my stuff, why should I help out?!". And this simply can't work this way. This whole torrent thing started as idea to help out Larry get his shows to the audience as he can only offer the last 1-2 shows on his own webspace and the question always comes up "where can I get an old show?! I missed one". Not to mention that the shows getting longer/bigger as you might already recognised. I sure did my thing and as soon as a new batch comes out it is me again that's the only one who offer a complete set for seeding. And if you can remember - the last times even with 20k/s dedicated for one open file only. Short said: the torrent is the only possibility to get all old material and even some goodies that're usually not available. For example the aftershows, which we aren't forced to record them - we do this voluntarily! A solution to this problem must be found. All I can do is share what I have. I always offer new material for you but have no backup support from those who already snagged the material via Larry's page or the torrent to help out seeding. If others (in other words you, the listeners or the fandom) don't do that and always have an excuse with whining/bitching in the subtone then the whole torrent thing isn't worth a thing. At least in my opinion. Like I said... I did and still do most of the "offering" for you alone. I look for bugs, try to help out why the seeding doesn't work for each individual user. But I can't seed alone anymore! Especially not as soon as the new packs (VGF#44.99-#50, Prior-20 shows, Aftershow pack) will be out. And I know a lot of you are not fond of snagging a 1+GB pack (which the latest show pack will be for sure) with just 3k/s. Just my two cents.
  16. And again... I'm the only seeder (along with D-Lux atm - but who knows for how long). I told you we need "long time seeders"! But if it's okay for you that I'm the only "seeder" in general and I can only sporadically seed with 3k/s per torrent... fine with me. But I guess I'll invent some "new rules" regarding "leeching" soon. Or switch the tracker completely to impliment certain "limitations". Or the the most radical way: I just stop seeding. Sorry but it seems like you leave me no other choice. Why does it work for the OCR torrents, or anime torrents, or game torrents (and so forth if we talk about the torrent system in general) but not for "VG Frequency"?
  17. Happy Anniversary or something like that... So buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy - 'cause Cansas is going BYE-BYE!!! VG Frequency has the 50th Show today! (non official or .5/.99 shows not included) Tune in as usual at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Here's a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 3:00am (Sunday) Oslo (Norway): 4:00am (Sunday) Germany: 4:00am (Sunday) Paris (France): 4:00am (Sunday) Helsinki (Finland): 5:00am (Sunday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 6:00am (Sunday) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 2:00pm (Sunday) And remember: If you're among the VGF seeders - do not only seed for "one night" only. We need long time seeders. Thanks in advance
  18. Just a quick reminder that we NEED TORRENT SEEDERS! I can't seed 24/7 alone all the time. Not to mention with more than 20k/s alltogether. kthnx
  19. As usual, and as long as Larry's doesn't postpone the show tonight, "VG Frequency" will be at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Here's a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 3:00am (Sunday) Oslo (Norway): 4:00am (Sunday) Germany: 4:00am (Sunday) Paris (France): 4:00am (Sunday) Helsinki (Finland): 5:00am (Sunday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 6:00am (Sunday) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 2:00pm (Sunday)
  20. BOULEVARD EXPRESS!!! THE TRUTH REVEALED! Larry Oji, VG Frequency radio host, usually very tame and innocent acting (if it's not a contest about "YOUR MOM!"), was recently caught in the act while doing some naughty(?!) stuff to his girlfriend while having the camera on Angle-6. We didn't see much but Boulevard Express assumes that it might be a very hot kiss or a very slight form of "hot swedish love". The rest of the evening was also very interesting as the discussion went further into "different forms of wang" and not only "agressive shirt action". The camera reveals everything. Boulevard Express just hopes that noone under age of 18 was watching the videostream till it crashed due to network issues of the Emory Campus. Is "Queen Caramella" out of the race now? What will happen next to our lovely couple? Stay tuned as we stick to Mr. Oji's trail as a fly sticks to... er... you know what it does. Thanks for reading "Boulevard Express". AND STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT SHOW - VGF#48.5 Only live and with the hottest videogame and alternate music host on the other side of the globe! -= Pimpdaddy Larry =- All pictures courtesty of www.studio-compyfox.de Always keep in mind - we're all joking and not flaming. Or else I'd assume that you don't understand jokes.
  21. Just a quick reminder (bump) to pimp out todays "V-Day" (Valentine's Day) related show. The timeschedule is as usual. Please look also on the timezones table: Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 3:00am (Sunday) Oslo (Norway): 4:00am (Sunday) Germany: 4:00am (Sunday) Paris (France): 4:00am (Sunday) Helsinki (Finland): 5:00am (Sunday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 6:00am (Sunday) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 2:00pm (Sunday) As additional info: The "Aftershows" are postponed to an undefined date. I'll keep you informed as soon as a pack is available at the torrent page (together with the old shows). Regarding the new logo: If you (the listeners) want to use one of the "banners" for pimping "VG Frequency", please upload it on your own server and use this link instead of mine if possible. The banners will be available for a while but I'll remove them again to prevent hotlinking. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  22. Larry's doing his show at 10pm (saturday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). As usual a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 7:00pm Calgary (Canada): 8:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 10:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 1:00am (Sunday) Reykjavik (Iceland): 3:00am (Sunday) London (England): 3:00am (Sunday) Oslo (Norway): 4:00am (Sunday) Germany: 4:00am (Sunday) Paris (France): 4:00am (Sunday) Helsinki (Finland): 5:00am (Sunday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 5:00am (Sunday) Moscow (Russia): 6:00am (Sunday) Hong Kong (China): 11:00am (Sunday) Tokyo (Japan): 12:00am (Sunday, midday) Sydney (Australia): 2:00pm (Sunday)
  23. Larry's planning to do his show at 7pm (tuesday, GMT-5/EST, Atlanta, GA). Again a small overview of the most salient timezones for you. Small World-Timetable Los Angeles (CA, USA): 4:00pm Calgary (Canada): 5:00pm Atlanta (GA, USA): 7:00pm Rio de Janero (Brazil): 10:00pm Reykjavik (Iceland): 0:00am (wednesday, midnight) London (England): 0:00am (wednesday, midnight) Oslo (Norway): 1:00am (wednesday) Germany: 1:00am (wednesday) Paris (France): 1:00am (wednesday) Helsinki (Finland): 2:00am (wednesday) Kapstadt (South Aftrica): 2:00am (wednesday) Moscow (Russia): 3:00am (wednesday) Hong Kong (China): 8:00am (wednesday) Tokyo (Japan): 9:00am (wednesday) Sydney (Australia): 11:00am (wednesday)
  24. DUDES! Relax *and please stop bitching/whining/whatever*! If you miss the show (no matter if it's just 15min, 2 hours or a whole day), then there's still the recording of it available after a short while. What's the big deal about it?! Larry only has a limited time at the radio station. The station has a tight schedule, and he was also lucky to get a free window tomorrow. So yeah... I'd kinda prefer 8pm-10pm by myself (GMT+1, which would be like 2pm-4pm in Atlanta) but I'm cool with the decitions of Larry. I'm just happy that there's a show. And please remember... he's doing that in his sparetime for "us" - it's not like he's getting paid for that. It's really that simple.
