Xenon, I will divide my feedback in three categories: 1 - Sound quality / Technical aspects: Most of your problems lie here. Everything seems drowned in reverb, the song indeed has a "watery feel". Some panning work would really help things to be clearer. The choice of the synths is also a complicated matter, it's pretty hard to work with synthesized brass (which seems to be the case here, but I may be wrong), so you might consider changing them (or at least working on them quite a bit). And the waterfall thing is great idea, just needs a better sample, that's all. Drums are ok, tough. 2 - Arregment: The piece needs more original stuff. I barely see anything original going on (and come on, the Hydrocity theme is a fucking fun song to work with! ). The idea of putting the "drowning theme" (really I don't know how it is called) in the end is tasty, you might wanna go for an accelerando there, it would sound good. 3 - Overall: I really think you need to have more fun with your remix. Your are working on a great song, it's quite tasty to mess around with the melody & harmony. Try new parts, solos, different harmonies, change of instruments. It's a sweet song to work with. Guys... You are fighting again! Come on, can't you guys see that this thread is turning into some kind of "Who is The Big Asshole" reality show? Hadyn, you are right, some attitudes make people want to leave (which was NOT my case, but I still believe this is truth). KFC, Snappleman... I know you guys have your differences and bla bla bla... But the time to fix that is over, now is the time to forget it and start working. KFC, you want this project to be AMAZING right? Cool, I think you have what it takes, just don't overdo it. You are still in control, but you could lose it if you start showing sings of despair. This is what you are doing. Snnapleman, stop that crappy "I am your savior, I came here to save the project, bound before me, adore me" speech. It's not cool. I appreciated the move, but there's no need to act like that... That's all I have to say.

Yeah, but that sounds like my final considering that I won't be using a music tech lab over the summer I think we should aim to make it the final. A month is EASILY enough tome to produce a remix -and considering we've all already started, it's not going to take a month to finish... I completely agree

The word "respect" comes to mind... I mean, it's ok for you to think we all suck, and this is never going to be sucessful because we don't have Vigilante, GrayLighting or... erm... you, around. Look, you have no reason or right to come in this thread and start to say the things you said, it's not only pointless, but quite rude and, shall I say, stupid. If you think we are going down, fine. I think you should seat on the sofa with a nice sofisticated drink and watch it premiere. But let me tell you, you might get a little suprised/dissapointed with the end of the story... And other thing: stop thinking you are a very big of a deal. I respect you as a great Remixer, but you just showed some good amount of immaturity.

Don't know if I said it before but, screw you lot to try and throw a song in PRC direction, it's a good competition dont take fucking advantage of it. You should calm down. We not taking advantage of it, we are just suggesting a song for the competition (actually a very GOOD song) and an oportunity for the winner of this good competition to put the song in the project. I don't see anything wrong with it...

Ha... Im terrible with names! "Symphonic Sonic" doesn't really makes a lot of sense to me. What about "Hedgehog Orgasm"? No really, my sugestions are "Emerald Jukebox" or "Chronicles the Hedgehog"... Yeah, i suck at names...

But Robotnik is always so DAMN easy... Hahahaha Just kidding, thanks for the feedback!!! The jazz is not as developed as my hydro city ReMix, it might get a lot better.

Thanks for the huge feedback! I don't know if I will do all these things you mentioned, I quite like the feel of it, sounds a bit like a jam, but im going to try. Things that surely will be on the next version: 1 - re-interpreted main melody, it was very mechanic and wrote it again in a jazzier way. 2 - different drums 3 - wrote some more parts (a bit Yellowjackets like)... Man, I think I expressed myself wrongly back there. This is a WIP for the project... Unless I can not have two, which doesn't seem to be the case, so yeah, this is a WIP for the project as well as my Hydrocity... Sorry if I said it wrong! Thanks yoshi!!! I will work on it!

Sonik Bakley and the Jazz Hedgehogs (http://www.vgmix.com/song_view.php?song_id=3867): Ok, im sorry. It’s not my fault, I had NOTHING to do over these last days (too sick to go to school). So, I decided to try and mess around with Reason, to see what could come around. In the end I came up with another WIP for the Sonic 3 & Knuckles Remix Project. Boss Theme Act 2. It’s still VERY primitive, just a 3 minutes : some seconds jam. In fact, Aquatic Pressure is by far my main contribution for the project, and I still need feedback on that one (ANY feedback is welcome)… Im not substituting it, just adding this one to see what people think of it (and also, to provide a relaxing tune for everybody who is working hard here to relax and laugh a little bit ) I find this one quite interesting, it is an arrangement for a jazz trio (turning into a quartet later), playing the theme in a blues/piano jazz way, which may seem strange due to the choice of source material, but in the end, it fitted… PS.: The melody only comes in after the one minute mark, so don’t get scared, it’s NOT an original. PS.: Yeah, there’s a lot of soloing going on… PS.: I know the piano is quite mechanic in the main melody, but im working on that. Sax is under work as well. PS.: It will be longer. It's also my first tradional jazz work, so go easy on me! Super PS.: If anyone here who works with Reason wants to collab on this one, please let me know, it would be great. Wooohoo! That's primissing!! I will be posting the upgraded version of my Hydrocity theme and my new WIP later today!

It's pretty DAMN good!!! I have some issues with it, but overall I loved it!! (hah, is tough saying that, but yeah, it's delicious!!! hahahaha)... I need to go, I will make a better feedback when I come back, and also post a upgraded version of my hydrocity and a new WIP (Boss Act 2) Keep up the great work!!!

IvoryGadget:Huum... I think emotionally you found your way pretty nicely, but I have a few complaints. First of all, you are right, the recording is really bad, also I think your playing is a little bit static on the beguining (im no pianist, so I can't say for sure, im just telling how I feel ), the arregement pleases me a lot, but there's repetition in the middle... Nice WIP so far, but there are things to be fixed, I think. Inner Sanctuary: Gosh, Sky Sanctuary must be the most popular song in this project hahaha . My heart still belongs to the orquestral version Kanjika did, but I don't deny this is some very good stuff! I was missing some good old happy technos tracks, and this just hits the right button on the right time! Great! I think the lead synth could be a little clearer tough, in fact, the whole thing could be louder (and more bass pleaseee), overall a very nice arregment. It flows very nicely!

Menu Molity: Wow!!! Quite a different ReMix! This project is coming out full of surprises hahaha!! I don`t really know why, but it reminds me of a DK song... It has a nice groove to it, and a good ambience too. Keep it up. Sacrosanct Skyway: Some minor EQing problems, but and OK song! I am not very fond of the source material so I can`t say much! But it is very good nonetheless! Flippin Twankies: DAMN! You`ve got the groove man! Loved the fat bass you used, and this is just so good to listen to! It`s relaxing and grooving!!! My only complaint go to that freaking voice... sample... ayei... stuff that you put there. I would encourage you not to put it (my ReMix also had voices like this, not very cool hahaha)... But overall this is definitely very good!!! Overall: Im impressed with the range of styles this project is reaching, I mean, we don`t have any dominating style that`s very good.

The strings are indeed fakish, HOWEVER... I know this will sound completely nuts, but have thought about putting some distorcion on them? Yeah, I know it seems ridiculous, but give ir a try... Because it reminds me some of the Rasputina's works, and that sweet! If it's not a big deal for you, try it out, just on the intro, see what comes out of it... Overall, a promissing and tasty arrengment!
